Ever since the One Piece remake was announced at Jump Festa 2024, the fandom is still in awe of the upcoming pirate journey. We have been hoping for a remake all these years but nobody saw it coming; more so that the renowned WIT Studio will be helming the dream project. After the initial announcement, the production staff has shared many details about the ongoing production to keep the fans hyped. Thus, if you are one of the longtime fans patiently anticipating the remake’s release, here is everything we know about The One Piece by Netflix and WIT Studio.
During Jump Festa, the Eiichiro staff made the unexpected announcement of “THE ONE PIECE” remake ahead of the anime’s 25th-anniversary celebration. WIT Studio picked up the reins to craft the anime’s remake we have been waiting for. So, the One Piece remake is coming out soon and its pre-production is well underway now.
The One Piece Remake Release Date
As the remake is still in its pre-production stages, the team hasn’t disclosed the release window or the release date just yet. According to the team, the One Piece remake’s release is still “a long way off.”
Unlike Toei Animation’s release schedule, WIT Studio’s remake is rumored to be a seasonal anime. As expected, the remake will first cover the East Blue Saga, and based on this information, we can estimate the potential release window to be around late 2025 or early 2026.
Are There Any One Piece Remake Trailers?
So far, at the time of writing, we haven’t received a main trailer or teaser for the One Piece remake anime from WIT Studio. We did get a special announcement and an in-depth BTS of the ongoing production, though.
The fandom expected a sneak peek of the remake during the silver jubilee event of the One Piece anime this year. But only the first look and concept art were revealed that day. We expected more details to be revealed at Jump Festa 2025, alas, not much was shared by the production team.
