The Rocks Pirates were a crew of ruthless and greedy pirates who united under one banner for the sake of wealth and fame. Due to the crew’s volatile nature, it always made sense that the downfall of the strongest pirate crew began with a betrayal from within. As Oda introduced the members of the Rocks Pirates one by one, we were slowly going through one by one to find out the traitor lurking among the Rocks Pirates. Well, this case is finally getting solved now, as One Piece chapter 1159 essentially confirms the identity of the traitor within the Rocks Pirates.

Ochoku Is Strongly Hinted to Be the Traitor Living Among the Rocks Pirates

In One Piece chapter 1159, Shakky gets kidnapped by the World Government, which happened as we believed, as she was the crown jewel of Hachinosu Island. All our eyes were set on Silver Axe being the Marine spy all this time; we forgot to observe Ochoku closely in the story. We are certain that Silver Axe isn’t the kidnapper, as Ochoku’s shady actions in the new chapter essentially seal him as the traitor of the Rocks Pirates.

When the members of the Rocks Pirates learned of Shakky’s disappearance, everyone was devastated, as seen from their depressed reactions, including Rocks, Whitebeard, and Gloriosa. However, Ochoku was the only one who was delighted by the news of her disappearance.

Furthermore, when Big News Morgan spilled the truth about Shakky’s kidnapping and her current location, every member was prepared to set sail to God Valley to rescue Shakky. However, Ochoku once again responded strangely, brushing off the crucial information as unreliable and even questioning whether it could be trusted at all.

Seeing these suspicious reactions from Ochoku, it becomes clear that Ochoku is the traitor within the crew. Maybe he got caught by Don Marlon while abducting Shakky, and that would be the reason why he killed his own crewmate.

Moreover, we know that Ochoku used to be the ruler of the Hachinosu island until Blackbeard teamed up with Trafalgar Law and Koby to take him down during the Rocky Port incident. It makes sense that Ochoku betrayed his captain in order to take over the Pirate Island. Thus, he joined hands with the World Government and successfully set up the defeat and death of Rocks D. Xebec.

As we are bound to learn more about the betrayal in the next chapter, let’s wait and see how the betrayal unfolds next weekend. In the meantime, who do you think is the traitor among the Rocks Pirates? Let us know in the comments below.
