Best NTE SS Tier Characters
The SS-tier characters in NTE are the absolute best units you should be getting in the game. These are the characters that are worth rerolling in NTE. Getting them should be your top priority in the game.
Nanally
- Rarity: S-class
- Esper Type: Anima
- Arc Type: Plasma
- Combat Roles: Damage, Main DPS, Follow-up Attack
Nanally is currently the strong DPS in Neverness to Everness, with quite a big margin. She has the highest raw damage output and utilizes Follow-up attacks with her summon alongside her attacks. She also has a bit of crowd control, allowing her to quickly clear multiple enemies at one time.
Jiuyuan
- Rarity: S-class
- Esper Type: Anima
- Arc Type: Solid
- Combat Roles: Damage, Burst DPS, Control
Jiuyuan is the strongest standard banner DPS in Neverness to Everness, and the only other SS-tier character on launch in our NTE tier list. She is a burst damage dealer with very quick rotations. Her kit also gives a ton of crowd control on the field, making her an essential in many teams as a rotating sub-DPS.
Best NTE S Tier Characters
The S-tier characters are some of the best characters in NTE for their dedicated roles. These characters are extremely good, and you should prioritize them based on your role requirements.
Sakiri
- Rarity: S-class
- Esper Type: Incantation
- Arc Type: Gas
- Combat Roles: Buff, Control, DMG Boost
Sakiri is the best support unit at launch, and easily makes her place in the S-tier of our Neverness to Everness tier list. She provides a team-wide ATK buff after using her Ultimate, which is an incredible ability. Other than that, Sakiri also gives a ton of crowd control in fights using her normal skill, making her one of the most essential characters of NTE.
Chiz
- Rarity: S-class
- Esper Type: Incantation
- Arc Type: Gas
- Combat Roles: Damage, Main DPS
Chiz is an S-class character that is given completely free to players with all her awakening copies by simply playing through the main missions. She is a very strong DPS, and with all her awakening copies unlocked, Chiz is a massively powerful unit to utilize for the early versions of NTE. However, Chiz is also a bit complicated to play, which is why she may lose her spot on the S-tier in later versions.
Baicang

- Arc Type: Synthesis
- Combat Roles: Damage, Main DPS, DoT
Baicang is another very strong damage-dealing character in Neverness to Everness. He is a main DPS who specializes in Damage over Time. His ultimate also deals a ton of burst damage to enemies, while also applying more DoT on them. If you like DoT characters in gacha games, then Baicang would be your clear favorite in NTE.
Haniel
- Rarity: A-class
- Esper Type: Psyche
- Arc Type: Solid
- Combat Roles: Buff, DMG Boost
Haniel is the second-best support character in Neverness to Everness, and her being A-class is highly convenient. She provides teamwide ATK buff with her Skill and Ultimate, making her extremely useful in most teams. Haniel is also very easy to get and build, as she is an A-class character. The only reason she is not in the SS-tier is because of low damage output.
Best NTE A Tier Characters
The A-tier characters are decently strong and fulfill very specific roles in teams for now. Many of them are F2P and can be utilized to progress through the game.
Adler
- Rarity: A-class
- Esper Type: Incantation
- Arc Type: Synthesis
- Combat Roles: Survival, Shield, DoT
Adler is one of the best sustain options in Neverness to Everness. He can provide shields to keep your active character from taking damage. Adler also debuffs the enemies with his passive, making him very useful in most teams. Alongside that, he can deal a fair amount of damage by applying Incantation DoT stacks, making him another viable unit for a full NTE DoT team.
Mint
- Rarity: A-class
- Esper Type: Anima
- Arc Type: Liquid
- Combat Roles: Damage, Main DPS
Mint is the first free character you will get in the game with Esper Zero. She is a DPS character with a fair amount of damage output. Although her damage is not comparable to many of the other S-class characters in the game, early on, she is a very good option to help you complete the main story.
Esper Zero
- Rarity: S-class
- Esper Type: Cosmos
- Arc Type: Solid
- Combat Roles: Damage, Instant Cycle, Burst DPS
Esper Zero is our main protagonist in Neverness to Everness. She is a burst damage dealer with very quick rotations, making her optimal for the sub-DPS role in many teams. As the protagonist, she is available to players for free, making her an incredible asset early on in the game.
Fadia
- Rarity: S-class
- Esper Type: Psyche
- Arc Type: Synthesis
- Combat Roles: Survival, DMG Redirection
Fadia is another very strong sustain in Neverness to Everness, but instead of healing or providing shields, she expertly redirects the damage received from enemies. Fadia can redirect damage from her allies to herself, but what’s truly fascinating is the skill that allows her to redirect a part of the damage back to the enemies. Although she cannot heal her allies, her Ultimate does heal her, keeping her alive in battle for a longer period.
Daffodill
- Rarity: S-class
- Esper Type: Chaos
- Arc Type: Liquid
- Combat Roles: Damage, Burst DPS, Break Boost
Daffodill is a burst DPS in Neverness to Everness and specializes in dealing damage after breaking enemy stances. She is also an incredible plunge DPS character, dealing more damage based on her fall height. Her passive reduces enemy break cap by 10%, allowing her to break stances quickly.
Hathor
- Rarity: S-class
- Esper Type: Lakshana
- Arc Type: Plasma
- Combat Roles: Damage, Burst DPS
Hathor is another burst DPS character with a ton of mobility in fights. She is also a really good plunge DPS, dealing increased damage based on her height. Hathor has strong AoE attacks and really good raw damage output, making her a good option for your main DPS role early on.
Best NTE B Tier Characters
These are currently the worst characters in Neverness to Everness. However, they can also act as good alternatives for some of the above characters, so keep an eye on them as well.
Skia
- Rarity: A-class
- Esper Type: Lakshana
- Arc Type: Gas
- Combat Roles: Damage
Skia is a really cool-looking character who uses shadows as a weapon. However, his damage output is average, which is why we have placed him in the B-tier. Still, Skai is an A-class agent, so you can get him for free, making him a good option early on.
Edgar
- Rarity: A-class
- Esper Type: Cosmos
- Arc Type: Liquid
- Combat Roles: Survival, Healing
Edgar is the only outright healer in Neverness to Everness. Sadly, he doesn’t have anything else going for him at the moment, and both Adler and Fadia are better offensive sustains over him. However, in situations where you will absolutely need a healer, Edgar can come in clutch until a new healer is released in the game.
