The Moonlight Trail Cape is an exclusive reward for the people who attend the Minecraft Experience: Moonlight Trail in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Unlike the previous Home and Menace Capes or the Common Cape cosmetics, this is tied to a real-world experience.

The Minecraft Moonlight Trail Cape has a glowing beacon pyramid with a full moon above and a light beam rising above from the beacon itself. This design perfectly matches the nighttime atmosphere of the live event. Remember, the tickets for Minecraft Experience just to get the cape start at ARS$40,000 (~$36 USD), with VIP passes for ARS$70,000 (~$51 USD) and 4-packs for ARS$147,000 (~$106 USD).

Yes, it is quite costly if you are just attending to get a cape for your character in-game. With that said, to unlock the Cape, perform the following steps:

• First, you’ll have to buy an official ticket for the Minecraft Experience event hosted in Buenos Aires.
• Now, you must physically attend and complete the event happening for a whole month, anytime between May 15 and June 15, 2026.
• So, once your ticket is scanned at the venue and you complete the whole adventure, you become eligible for the Minecraft Moonlight Trail Cape.
• Within 72 hours of completing the experience, you’ll receive an email containing the unique Cape code used for redeeming the reward.
• If you have purchased multiple tickets, then you’ll receive the matching number of Cape codes whose tickets were scanned at the venue in the same email.
• Once done, redeeming the Cape is easy. Sign in to the Minecraft website using your account.
• Go to the Redeem Page, enter the Cape code, and click on the Redeem button to get the reward.

Once done, the Moonlight Trail Cape will be added to your account. Currently, it only shows up in the Bedrock Edition, but Mojang has confirmed that it will come to Java soon.

What Is Minecraft Experience: Moonlight Trail?

The Minecraft Experience: Moonlight Trail is a large-scale outdoor interactive adventure made by Mojang Studios, along with Experience Mod and Supply+Demand. Instead of being a convention, you will be inside a live-action journey inspired by Minecraft. There will be practical sets, visual effects, actors, lights, fog, and more activities that you would normally perform in the game.

Everyone who joins the Experience will have to follow a trail during the night while exploring the various thematic zones. You start at the camps populated with the Minecraft campfire, then make your way to the Ruins to learn a bit of crafting. Then you pass the peaceful Cherry Grove and enter a cave to fight skeletons and mine for diamonds.

The trail then walks you past a waterfall where you can fish. A while later, you pass a storm and experience the astounding visual and sound effects. Finally, the trail ends with a fight, where everyone crafts weapons to defeat the mobs together and restore the Minecraft beacon.
