Microsoft to Host AI Summit in Bengaluru on March 28

Microsoft will host an AI-focused tech summit in Bangalore on Wednesday, March 28, to “showcase use cases of artificial intelligence across sectors”. That’s according to the PTI, which says that it has received confirmation from a company spokesperson that the event will “feature discussions around the benefits of artificial intelligence (AI), and how this can be used to amplify human ingenuity”.

The summit will be called ‘AI for All’, and is expected to see delegates from a wide range of industries, including healthcare, auto and IT, IT-enabled services, and more. According to the unnamed Microsoft spokesperson quoted by PTI, it will be the American tech giant’s first-ever event of its kind in the country, and will be aimed at a broader audience compared to the developer-focused AI event it had hosted last year.

A number of high-level Microsoft executives are expected to address delegates at the event, including Peggy Johnson (Executive Vice President, Business Development), Anant Maheshwari (President, Microsoft India) and Anil Bhansali, Managing Director at Microsoft India (R&D). According to the PTI, representatives from many of Microsoft’s partners and customers will also highlight how artificial intelligence can aid industry and enterprise.

The event is also expected to showcase how the emerging new technology can enhance productivity for both humans and machines, and how it can transform not just the the way business in conducted in the country, but also society at large. PTI is also quoting the unnamed Microsoft spokesperson as having said that that the event will also have a Design Thinking workshop based on AI.
