Upcoming Lenovo Z5 to Feature a Truly Bezel-less Display

At a time when all Android OEMs are adopting the iPhone X’s notch, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Lenovo is about to launch a truly bezel-less display with no cutouts whatsoever. The upcoming Lenovo Z5 was first teased by the company’s Vice President Chang Cheng on Weibo earlier this week and he has now posted a sketch of the device.

The sketch, unlike the previous leak, displays the smartphone in its entirety and reveals that the handset will come with neither a chin nor a notch. The sketch shows antenna lines on the side metal frame and what looks like a USC Type-C port at the bottom. The sketch also confirms the name of the device, but reveals no further details.

Rumors suggest that the smartphone will be released on June 14 and will feature a 95 percent screen-to-body ratio. Since the Lenovo Z5 doesn’t feature a notch, it’ll be interesting to see how Lenovo manages to include the front-facing camera and sensors on the device. It’s worth noting that Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has already released a truly bezel-less smartphone called the Vivo Apex, which sports a 91 percent screen-to-body ratio and includes a camera which pops out of the top.
