- To complete The Jaunt Quest in KCD 2, head to Semine and accompany Lord of Semine and Captain Gnarly.
- Locate the stolen cart and the Bandits responsible for stealing alongside the hired hands.
- Defeat the bandits and recover the cart to complete this quest.
The Jaunt is one of the main sub-missions to enter the wedding in the Wedding Crashers quest. This mission involves the groom’s father himself and his captain as you look for the missing cart for Blacksmith Radovan. This quest is a great opportunity to create a strong connection with Lord Semine, which becomes quite useful later in the game, especially once you progress to the Wedding Crashers quest. If you find yourself stuck, then let us help you out with a full KCD 2 The Jaunt quest guide here.
The Jaunt Part 1: Head to Semine
After completing the Blacksmith’s Son quest in Tachov, speak with the Blacksmith Radovan to start The Jaunt quest. Once you start the quest, the first thing you will need to do is head to Semine in KCD 2. Here is how you can do it:
- First, you must ride to Semine, southwest of Tachov and near the bottom of the map. Semine is also where the wedding is supposed to take place for the Wedding Crashers quest.
- After you reach Semine, you will encounter Jurko, a Moravian. Defeat Jurko in a fistfight to progress the quest. To defeat him, perfectly dodge his attacks and then land your punches.
- Next, speak with Lord Semine and join them in the search for the missing caravan.
The Jaunt Part 2: Get Your Horse
After you agree to search alongside the Lord of Semine and Captain Gnarly, you will need a Horse. This is also the first time you unlock a horse in KCD 2 after losing it during the tutorial mission. Here is how you can complete this part of the quest:
- Head to the barn area and the open field across it to find horses lined up waiting.
- Among the horses, you will find Pebbles. Speak with the Groom Ballatay to get Pebbles or buy another horse for yourself. Now, mount up and speak with Captain Gnarly to head out.
The Jaunt Part 3: Defeat Lord Semine
As you start following Lord Semine, you will eventually encounter a practice pen. Lord Semine will ask you to have a practice match to learn your skills. Follow the steps below to finish this part:
- Speak with Captain Gnarly outside the pen to get Gnarly’s club.
- Now, enter the pen and equip the club to start the fight.
- Use perfect blocks to stop Sir Jan Semine’s attacks and swing at him from his unprotected side to defeat him. Remember to keep your distance when you are out of stamina.
- Speak with Captain Gnarly to progress the mission after the fight is over.
- Make sure to pick the ‘That was Tough!‘ option after you win the fight to avoid losing your reputation.
Captain Gnarly will now reward you with his shield and club permanently, which you can continue using in battle.
The Jaunt Part 4: Speak with Bailiff Thrush
After reaching Troskowitz, you will be asked to speak with the Bailiff Thrush but not to use Lord of Semine’s name in the conversation. Here are the dialogue choices you need to pick during this part of the Jaunt quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2:
- Speak with the Bailiff Thrush by following the marker and ask about the missing cart.
- When the Bailiff talks badly about Lord Semine, pick ‘You’re right!‘ to not lose Reputation.
- Question about Radovan’s Hand and finally get back and speak with Lord Semine.
- Select the ‘They drove towards Apollonia‘ dialogue option to avoid losing reputation. Now, mount up and follow Lord Semine to the forest.
The Jaunt Part 5: Investigate for Clues
Next, you will be asked to investigate the area for clues, first around the cemetery and next around the forest. Here is how you can find the clues:
- Around the Cemetery, head up the road until you see a sack lying on the road. Get near it and explore to complete this part. Go back and tell Lord Jan Semine about the charcoal sack.
- At the crossroads in the forest, go slightly back the way you came from and walk along the trail on the right. Here, you will see another sack lying on the ground.
- Keep moving along the trail until you find the cart hidden in the bushes.
- Head back and tell Lord Semine about the cart.
The Jaunt Part 6: Defeat the Smaller Bandit Camp
Follow Captain Gnarly and Lord Semine into the forest until you hear Bandit voices. First, scout the area by crouching and creeping closer. Once you have identified the number of enemies, head back and plan the ambush. Decide on a stealth approach, and then follow the steps below:
- Stealthily creep up the path that you used for scouting again. Equip your Bow and shoot at the enemies while they are unprepared.
- After hitting your first shot, enter the fight with your melee weapon alongside Lord Semine and Captain Gnarly.
- Defeat the Bandits and speak with Lord Semine.
The Jaunt Part 7: Defeat the Main Bandit Camp
Lord Semine will now talk about defeating the main Bandit camp. Follow Lord Semine’s plan to win the battle through the steps mentioned below:
- Instead of taking on individual fights, you can simply target the enemies focused on Captain Gnarly and Lord Semine.
- Get behind those bandits and hack them to death.
- Defeat Gules to finish the fight and speak with Captain Gnarly, who will tell you to chase down the hired hand, Ventza.
The Jaunt Part 8: Catch the Hired Hand Ventza
To find Ventza, head north from the fight and follow the marker. Once you locate Ventza, speak with him:
- While speaking, select the ‘Can’t you think of any other solution?‘ if you cannot win the Skill check.
- Otherwise, pick the ‘You’re no Match for me!’ dialogue option, which has an easier skill check.
- Depending on your conversation, you must either defeat him or escort him back.
Now, head back with Captain Gnarly and Lord Semine to witness a hilarious scene between the bandits as they blame each other or try to ask for mercy. Drop off at Troskowitz and head to Tachov to tell Blacksmith Radovan about the missing cart to complete the mission.
That’s how you complete the Jaunt quest in KCD 2. We know this quest is a big one, so we don’t blame you for being confused. If you have any other questions, do ask them in the comments below.
