MHA’s popularity skyrocketed in the 2010s, and the series has captivated readers with the Good vs Evil fight for more than ten years. 2022 marked the beginning of the Final War arc, which signaled the end of the MHA series. Earlier in 2024, Horikoshi stated that the MHA manga would wrap up sooner than fans think. So, to find out if My Hero Academia mangaa has officially ended or not, keep reading.
Is the My Hero Academia Manga Over Officially?
The My Hero Academia manga by Kohei Horikoshi began its serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump on July 7, 2014. Over time, this superhero manga transformed itself into a sensation and became one of the best-selling manga of all time with more than 100 million copies in circulation.

The battle between our beloved superheroes and All For One’s army came to an end with the defeat of Tomura Shigaraki. Manga Chapter 424 marked the conclusion of the final arc and the start of the epilogue for this grand superhero saga. During the epilogue, the mangaka took his time to make the story come full circle, including an eight-year time skip that reveals more about the future of all our favorite young superheroes.
So, to conclude, My Hero Academia’s manga has 430 chapters altogether along with the epilogue chapters.
When Is My Hero Academia Anime Coming to an End?
Although the source material, i.e. the My Hero Academia manga, has ended officially, there is still time left for the MHA anime to wrap up the story.
At the time of writing this article, the My Hero Academia anime is midway through adapting the Final War Arc with the battle between Deku and Shigaraki kicking off. So, there are a total of 64 chapters left to be adapted in the anime.
The ongoing MHA Season 7 has around 9 episodes left. So, if the anime adapts about 3–4 chapters per episode, Season 7 will adapt the source up to 400 chapters, and the remaining 30 chapters can be covered with a new Season 8 or a standalone finale movie, similar to the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie trilogy.
Hopefully, there is still one more season on the cards until we see the end of the My Hero Academia anime. That said, what do you think about the ending of the MHA manga series? Let us know in the comments below.
