- While Elden Ring Nightreign is designed for cooperative play, it unfortunately lacks crossplay functionality.
- Players within the same console family can still enjoy co-op adventures together.
- PS5 owners can team up with those on PS4, and similarly, Xbox Series X/S players can play with Xbox One users.
Elden Ring Nightreign is a cooperative spin on FromSoft’s critically acclaimed 2022 release. As the game requires multiple nightfarers, players are understandably concerned about crossplay. Since most co-op games let you play across multiple platforms, everyone is hoping the upcoming title has it as well. For those wondering, keep reading as we answer whether Elden Ring Nightreign has crossplay or not.
Elden Ring Nightreign Crossplay Explained

Elden Ring Nightreign does not offer crossplay support. Even though the game is available across PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, the title does not have crossplay integration.
This was confirmed by Elden Ring: Nightreign director Junya Ishizaki in an interview with IGN:
“Similar to the original Elden Ring, there will be cross-generational play but not cross-platform play. So PS4 players can play with PS5 players, and Xbox One players can play with Xbox Series S and X players, but not between platforms.”
Thankfully, even if there is no crossplay in Nightreign, you can still play the co-op adventure with your friends on a PS4, as a PS5 owner, and vice versa for Xbox users. PC players will have to form teams with fellow Steam users due to the lack of crossplay
