The Elden Ring Nightreign closed network test kicks on February 14. As the game requires multiple nightfarers, we understand if you’re worried about crossplay. As a lot of games let you play across multiple platforms, everyone is hoping the upcoming Elden Ring has it, too. So, for those wondering, keep reading as we answer if Elden Ring Neightreign has crossplay or not.

Elden Ring Nightreign Crossplay Explained

If you want to know if Elden Ring Nightreign will have cross-platform play support, the answer is ‘No.’ Even though the game is available on both generations of PlayStation and Xbox consoles, there is no crossplay support for Elden Ring Nightreign.

This was confirmed by Elden Ring: Nightreign director Junya Ishizaki in an interview with IGN. In the interview, he says:

“Similar to the original Elden Ring, there will be cross-generational play but not cross-platform play. So PS4 players can play with PS5 players, and Xbox One players can play with Xbox Series S and X players, but not between platforms.”

Thankfully, even if there is no crossplay on Nightreign, you can play the co-op adventure with people from different generations on the same console platform.

Luckily, PS5 players can play with friends on the PS4, and Xbox Series X/S players can play with the Xbox One players. So, whether you preorder Nightreign on PC, PlayStation, or Xbox, playing with your friends will require the same platform device.
