Even though Hytale is still in early access and is currently undergoing active development, the community has already explored most of the biomes in the game. One of the biggest talking points in the community is the Hytale bosses. From the looks of the Hytale trailers and concept art, we will surely receive a rich lineup of bosses. Although we can check some of them inside the early access right now, some stay inert, and others are not fully confirmed yet. So, check out this guide to find out about all potential and upcoming Hytale bosses and what we have seen so far.

All Bosses in Hytale Explained

Here, we have explained all the bosses from early enemies like the Trork Chieftain to potential endgame threats such as the Frost Dragon and the Cave Rex. Each of them is unique to each biome and a zone in Hytale. With that said, let’s explore how you can encounter and defeat them as well.

Trork Chieftain

The Trork Chieftain is widely believed to be one of the first major boss encounters that players may face once the game releases on a stable version. Naturally, you might then find these creatures at the fortified Trork camps or the ritual grounds.

The Trork Chieftain can serve as a learner boss, which helps you get the basic idea of how you must fight the rest of them in the game. You can always make use of the best Hytale mods to gain some additional support, but fighting them once in the vanilla game mode is a must. You may consider inflicting a few heavy melee swings and charged attacks to beat the Trork Chieftain fast.

Broodmother

The Broodmother is one of the strongest Hytale boss candidates till now. This creature can be found in Scaraks Nests at zone 2. Scaraks are hive-based creatures and, therefore, finding such a queen-like creature is almost unavoidable here.

Now, fighting the Broodmother can be quite irritating at first, as she continuously keeps spawning her minions. This will naturally force you to balance doing damage to the main boss along with surviving the attacks from the inferior creatures. So, rather than going for a brute force method, try a fire-based tool and crowd control attacks to win the battle against her easily.

Yeti

The Yeti is yet another clear boss possibility that we have seen so far in the official Hytale announcement trailer. The Yeti appears to spawn within the frozen mountain and snow-covered biomes and is shown hurling rocks at you.

The Yeti is going to be large, aggressive, and capable of doing some aggressive attacks. So, don’t feel surprised if it throws boulders at you, groundslams, and unleashes a rage attack. Therefore, you may constantly need to change your position while adapting to the freezing environment. You can try making a Hytale server and invite your friends to defeat the Yeti if the solo battle seems almost impossible.

Frost Dragon

The Frost Dragon is one of the most anticipated boss possibilities in Hytale and is teased through the in-game concepts. To find this boss, you are required to build an Ancient Gateway on the Arcanist’s Workbench and use the Fragment Orbis – Dragonspire Weald on it to create a portal. Moreover, crafting all of this requires completing at least 100 memories as well.

At the Dragonspire Weald dimension, you can find the Frost Dragon resting in a snow biome, specifically at a circular arena with ice pillars. Even when you go near the mob, it will neither detect you nor attack with any moves. So, once Hytale releases this mob in the stable version, we might likely be introduced to aerial combat and large-scale attacks. These might also include freezing effects, as per the name of the mob.

Cave Rex

The Cave Rex is another unique and unsettling boss possibility that we might encounter with the stable Hytale version. From the current information, we can find the Cave Rex inside the Forgotten Jungle, which is located on level 4 of Devastated Lands. You can have a look at the other dinosaurs that were introduced in the latest Hytale update 1 Patch notes.

The one scary feature about this boss mob is that it can detect you from a long range, and it is one of the many reasons why I had difficulty capturing the above shot. If the Cave Rex appears as a boss mob in Hytale, players might get lured to the creature due to its bio-luminescent traits and end up being its dinner if they don’t have the right gear.

That’s everything we know about the Hytale bosses that can probably make their appearance in the upcoming updates and stable releases. Do note that I got these bosses from using the Hytale commands, and they are not in their natural habitat.

So, which one is your favorite, and which one terrifies you the most? Tell us in the comments below.
