Yao Guang
- Rarity: 5-star
- Path: Elation
- Element: Physical

Yao Guang features in the first half of Honkai Star Rail 4.0. She is on the banners alongside Sparxie and is also be from the new Elation path. She is one of the seven Arbiter-Generals and is known as the Seer Strategist of Xianzhou. Yao Guang is also an Elation support, so she will be important for the Elation meta in 4.x.
Sparxie

Sparxie features in the second half of the Honkai Star Rail 4.0 banner. She and Sparkle are basically the same being, but their relationship is a bit more complicated than that. She is also one of the first Elation characters in Honkai Star Rail.
Ashveil

Ashveil is the ace detective of the Ashen Detective Agency and is currently in Planarcadia. He is accompanied by a monkey, called Mr. Narrator, who appears to have been affected by the memetic virus of Dr. Primitive. When it comes to actual detective work, it seems that Mr. Narrator does most of the job, while Ashveil simply acts on intuition.
Previously, Ashveil was rumored to be La Mancha, the leader of the Galaxy Rangers in Honkai Star Rail. This might still be true, as he does have the Hunt path, and Boothill and Rappa are soon expected to appear in the Planarcadia storyline. Ashveil is clearly not a native of Planarcadia, and him walking around with a memetic virus victim further hints that he is connected to the Galaxy Rangers in some way.
Elation Silver Wolf

Silver Wolf is our beloved member in the Stellaron Hunters. She will be a big part of the Planarcadia storyline, even getting a completely new playable form. She has now been confirmed to have new form in 4.x. According to recent leaks, her new playable form will follow the path of Elation.
Evanescia

- Element: Ice
- Expected Release: 4.3
Evanescia has finally been revealed by Hoyoverse, and there is no doubt that she is going to be the Yae Sakura EXPY we have all been waiting for in Honkai Star Rail. All the leaks hint her to hold similar importance as Firefly did in Penacony.
Blade’s New Form

- Path: Unknown
- Element: Ice

Blade, the broody Stellaron Hunter we all came to like in the Xianzhou arc, will also get a new form in 4.x. His new form’s element has been leaked to be Ice, and we can expect him to be released in either Honkai Star Rail 4.3 or 4.4.
Nihilux
- Rarity: 5-star
- Path: Unknown
- Element: Unknown
- Expected Release: 4.3
Nihilux is a completely new character revealed to be in Honkai Star Rail Planarcadia. She is going to be a 5-star character and is expected to release in version 4.3. Nihilux is often referred to as the author or someone who runs a press in Planarcadia, but her nickname, the Strictest Mother of the Aeons, rings some alarm bells. She has yet to appear in the story, so hopefully she makes an appearance soon.
Himeko’s New Form

- Element: Fire
- Expected Release: 4.4
Finally, Himeko will also have a new form in Honkai Star Rail 4.x. She is the most important character in the Astral Express, but her current kit doesn’t do her justice at all. With Himeko finally getting a new form that is deserving of her calibre, we can finally see her lead the Astral Express in the fight against the Destruction.
Other than these characters, we also have rumors about Robin and Aventurine’s new forms, Pearl, Loretta, Sugilite, Vita, and Sampo’s new form. The IPC characters are likely tied to the Astropolis part of the storyline, which will be in the second half of HSR 4.x. The other leaks are still too unsubstantiated, or we have very little information on those characters to add them to the list currently. Once more information, we will start adding them to the main list.
