Ever since gamers saw Higgs using his electrifying Battle guitar to fight against the samurai in the trailer, everyone has been waiting to get their hands on this new weapon in Death Stranding: On the Beach. The ESRB rating of the sequel unintentionally revealed that Battle Guitar will be available as a weapon. So, if you’re dead set on obtaining the weapon from Higgs, here is how you can unlock the Battle Guitar in Death Stranding 2.

How to Get Higgs’ Battle Guitar in Death Stranding 2
As one might expect, the Battle Guitar cannot be unlocked in the early stages of the game. The Battle Guitar will be unlocked in the endgame of Death Stranding 2. Here is when and how you can unlock this weapon:
1. Complete Order No. 46
Order Number 46 is the last order to connect all of Australia together. In this mission, you need to defeat a swarm of Ghost Mech soldiers and the giant mech boss standing in your way. Then, you’re required to deliver the Drawbridge Terminal Unit to the F8 distribution center.
2. Fragile Confronts Higgs
Surprisingly, Higgs appears out of the blue to congratulate you on bringing the continent together. As he tries to attack you, DHV Magellan emerges from the tar to knock him down, and Fragile also comes out to confront Higgs one last time. This time, Fragile grabs his battle guitar and uses this weapon to eliminate him.
3. Tarman Modifies the Battle Guitar for Sam
After Fragile defeats Higgs, she leaves the Battle Guitar with Sam. Then, a long cut scene plays the moment you go inside the DHV Magellan, setting the stage for the climactic showdown.
After the cutscene, Tarman confirms that the crew has modified Higgs’ Guitar for your use in the explosive finale of the sequel. From now on, you have been gifted the Battle Guitar and can utilize it effectively in your upcoming battles.
Battle Guitar in Death Stranding 2: Tips and Tricks
The first and foremost thing you should remember when using the Battle Guitar is that the weapon consumes Chiral Chrystals to shoot. The Battle Guitar can be used for both melee and shooting attacks. Here’s how yo use the Battle Guitar to attack enemies:
- When equipped, press the circle button repeatedly to deal melee damage.
- You can aim using the L2 button and then press the R2 button to shoot continuous electric charges.
- You can also hold your R2 button and release it to unleash a powerful electric charge attack.
Now, if you accidentally lose the Battle Guitar, you can always fabricate as many as you like using the delivery terminal.
The Battle Guitar in Death Stranding: On the Beach is one of the best and most fun weapons I have used in any game.
