Elden Ring Nightreign marks FromSoftware’s first crack at a multiplayer-focused game. While solo players can still experience the roguelike on their lonesome, the title’s mechanics and systems are skewed towards co-op gameplay, ideally with two other players for company. As you venture through Limveld with your fellow Nightfarers, your teammates are bound to buckle under the pressure exerted by its many fearsome bosses. To help you get them back in the fight and keep your run alive in the process, we’ve put together a guide on how to revive your teammates in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Elden Ring Nightreign: How to Revive Party Members
In Elden Ring Nightreign, once a player’s health falls to zero, they’ll enter a near-death state. After suffering fatal damage, your teammate will fall into a near-death state and begin crawling on the floor. This results in a purple gauge to appear above their head. The gauge itself is divided into three sections, each representing the number of times your fellow Nightfarer has been downed. There is also a handy timer on the outside counting down from 15 seconds.
To revive your teammates in Elden Ring Nightreign, all you need to do is attack them until this purple death gauge is depleted. Attacking it reduces the purple bar’s progress, and your teammate will be revived with half of their maximum HP once it is depleted. However, like we said, you better do it quickly before the timer runs out or they will die permanently.
As for the gauge’s segments, you’ll first need to deplete just one bar to rescue your teammate. However, after their second collapse, you’ll have to hack away at two bars. And finally, a third fall will see you deal with three whole bars that make a complete circle. The status of this death gauge can be reset by visiting a Site of Grace. It’s also worth noting that Nightfarers who aren’t revived in time respawn at the last Site of Grace they visited.
Besides this method, players using the Revenant class can trigger their Ultimate Art, Immortal March, to instantly revive all near-death teammates within the ability’s area of effect. Additionally, players with the Wending Grace item can also cheat death, although this functions more like a self-revive consumable than a reliable way to resurrect players.
