Blessed by the supernatural abilities of the Kumiho, White Fox is a versatile Strategist in Marvel Rivals. Her kit is so well-balanced that players are placing her high on the Marvel Rivals tier list. At the heart of her moveset is the Yeowoo Guseul, or Fox Marbles, which are blue-colored projectiles that bounce off surfaces while healing allies and damaging enemies.

She can combine this primary attack with the Spectral Surge, which throws a fox forward that damages and charms enemies. Her mobility is also pretty cracked, thanks to the Spirit Sanctuary ability that lets her teleport to the location of any ally. To round out the package, White Fox’s Ultimate sees her transform into her nine-tailed form. In this state, she gains new melee attacks and can heal nearby allies constantly.

With that basic overview out of the way, here’s a look at White Fox’s kit and abilities in Marvel Rivals:

How to Play White Fox in Marvel Rivals: Best Meta Gameplay Explained

  • Marvel Rivals White Fox Primary Attack
  • Marvel Rivals White Fox Spectral Fox
  • Marvel Rivals White Fox Awakened Melee
  • Marvel Rivals White Fox Shift Heal
  • Marvel Rivals White Fox Ultimate

There are few Strategists as versatile or as lethal as White Fox in Marvel Rivals. She can heal allies from virtually anywhere on the map, blow through enemies using melee burst attacks, and reposition in an instant. Her core healing abilities are especially strong, since the Yeowoo Guseul projectiles are quite chunky, and you simply need to fire them towards your allies without worrying about missing shots, just like Gambit’s kinetically charged cards.

What’s more is that the projectiles bounce off surfaces and automatically turn in an ally’s direction. To take advantage of the primary fire, we recommend trailing your teammates from behind and chucking Fox Marbles if they’re interrupted by melee Duelists like Deadpool. We also recommend combining the left click with Spectral Surge, which Charms affected enemies and makes them vulnerable to further attacks. This effect is similar in function to Emma Frost’s Ultimate; however, the duration here is slightly lower.

One of the best parts of her kit is the instant teleport. When activated, White Fox zaps to the location of a chosen ally, blocks incoming attacks with a shield, and fully heals her teammate. This is essentially a cheat code when used strategically, and could bail out outnumbered teammates.

When you hit E, Ami Han uses up her Spirit Tail energy to gain devastating melee attacks, turning her into a melee DPS hero for a limited period. While Awakened, White Fox can slash enemies at close range while healing allies at the same time. Moreover, her mobility skill transforms into a three-part combo that is excellent for single-target lockdown. This is a nightmare scenario for dive-based heroes, like Spider-Man, as the Strategist can deny them the time or space to make an escape.

Finally, her Ultimate sees transform into her nine-tailed fox form, which is best used for emergency healing. Sure, you can slam the ground and overwhelm isolated enemies as a majestic fox. But you will get burst pretty quickly, so just focus on delivering as many heals as you can. Safe to say, it isn’t entering the list of the best Ultimates in Marvel Rivals anytime soon.

Now that you have a general idea of how to play White Fox in Marvel Rivals, here are some gameplay tips to help you excel with the character:

  • Awakened Form Combo: Her bread-and-butter is a three-move combo that can be executed while in Awakened Form (E key). Here are the button inputs to pull off this move: Shift > Right Click > Shift. When you hit the final input, your target will have been forcibly repositioned and weakened, disrupting the opponent’s formation in the process.
  • Spam Heals While in Kumiho Form: After hitting the Ultimate, the best course of action is to hold down both the primary and secondary fire buttons. Focus your reticle on healing allies instead of targeting enemies since White Fox’s ground slams aren’t all that powerful.
  • Play it Safe in Standard Form: When no transformations are active, stick behind your allies and focus on dishing out heals. Combine left click with Spectral Surge if you see enemies in close proximity, since the ability offers pierce damage.
  • Use Teleport to Block Enemy Ults: Her healing teleport shields allies from attacks for a brief window. It can also cancel out enemy Ultimates such as Magneto and Scarlet Witch. Keep this in mind during matches, as one tactical maneuver could save your entire team from a wipe.

Best Counters for White Fox in Marvel Rivals

While White Fox offers incredible versatility in Marvel Rivals, her low health pool of 275 means that she’s susceptible to various kinds of offenses. For instance, powerful AoE attacks can outpace her healing, while a rapid brawler can easily tear through her HP if she’s isolated. She’s also quite weak against burst heroes such as Blade and Elsa Bloodstone.

On that note, here are the best counters for the Strategist:

BladeWithout protection from her teammates, Blade’s powerful melee combos and his Lifesteal abilities, can make easy work out of White Fox.

The PunisherWhite Fox is very susceptible to targeted burst damage, which is precisely what the Punisher excels at.
Elsa BloodstoneElsa is another burst-damage specialist who can eliminate White Fox through powerful combos.
