Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 brought an action-packed season as players are tasked with wiping bugs off the island with the help of a new faction, O.X.R., who have them equipped with all the right tools. From the gattling Leadspitter 3000 to the Swarmstrike Launcher, these weapons have proved quite useful in getting the job done.
However, this season’s Power Rangers collab has kicked things up a notch with the introduction of the Megazord mythic, which is perfect for slaying bugs and enemies on the island. While the Megazord is limited, at the same time, Epic has also added the iconic Blade Blaster weapon that you can get in the game quite easily. Here’s how to get and use it in Chapter 6 Season 4.
How to Get and Use the Blade Blaster Weapon in Fortnite
Blade Blaster is a mythic weapon in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, which is now available across Battle Royale and Zero Build lobbies. To get your hands on a Blade Blaster, you must reach O.X.R. Rank A and head to a bunker that is opened during a match.
As soon as you open a bunker, head inside and look for the mythic weapon display case. Walk closer to it and you’ll be able to claim the Blade Blaster for free. Buy the weapon, and you now have it in your inventory.
You can also get the weapon by opening Loot Chests or Rare Chests, but the chances of getting one from those containers are really thin. The Blade Blaster is an energy-based laser pistol with two attacks. Here are the weapon’s stats:
- Damage: 42
- Headshot Damage: 68.25
- Magazine Size: 80
- Fire Rate: 4.3
- Reload Time: 0.085
The first is the primary fire, using the shoot button, which fires slow laser shots at the enemy, dealing heavy damage. The secondary fire requires you to hold down the ADS button (right click or LT/L2 on controller) for a charged shot, which deals even more damage.
You can use the Blade Blaster to easily finish off Queen Bugs in mere seconds, thanks to its damage multiplier that allows you to eliminate bugs faster in a match. However, it may not be ideal to use it in proximity to an enemy, as you may need your trusty shotgun after all to finish the job.
