Fortnitemares is alive and well in Fortnite’s Battle Royale island as players battle the horrors that Epic has brought to the map with new bosses and items to celebrate the spirit of Halloween. The game’s yearly tradition reached peak this year as Epic introduced over 10 new collabs, all tied to release during the same Fortnitemares event sequentially.
However, it’s the terrifying bosses, Jason and Doja Cat (Mother of Thorns), who are truly giving players a tough fight on the island as they try and eliminate these bosses for their mythic weapons and medallions. While the Mother of Thorns is already out in the Item Shop, it’s Jason who’s coming in next. But before that, you can stand a chance to win his skin for free via the upcoming Jason Haunted Cup.
Fortnite Jason Haunted Cup Start Date and Rewards
Jason Haunted Cup is a single-day Fortnite tournament that takes place on October 16, 2025 (check local timings in the compete tab in-game) and will be a 4-hour-long competition among players.
The format of the tournament will be Duos and will take place in the game’s Reload mode, which has a new Nitemare Island update live in the game. If you manage to grab 8 points throughout the tournament, you’ll unlock the TGIF emoticon, and if you’re one of the top placements in your region, you’ll win the Jason Outfit and the entire skin bundle.
When Does Jason Voorhees Come Out in Fortnite?
As per leaks, Jason skin will release on October 17, at 8 PM ET in the Fortnite Item Shop.
Players will be able to grab the entire skin bundle as soon as it comes out in the shop; however, if you’d like it early, better play the cup and place in the top spot with your duo!

While only the two cosmetics, an emoticon, and an outfit have been revealed so far, the Jason cosmetic bundle in Fortnite may consist of the following items, with their rumored prices below:

- Jason’s Walk Emote – 500 V-Bucks
