In Short
  • Raiders can extract through multiple Extraction Points available on each map.
  • Cargo Elevators, Metro Stations, Air Shafts, and Raider Hatches are the different Extraction Points in Arc Raiders.
  • Raiders can use a common Extraction Point or a Raider Hatch (with a key) to return to Speranza.

Just like all extraction shooter games, raiders need to extract safely to Speranza before the raid countdown timer runs out. Fortunately, many extraction points are available in Arc Raiders, granting players enough chances to escape to the underground with all their precious loot. Whether you are new to Arc Raiders or a veteran raider, confused about how to extract in Arc Raiders, check out our extraction guide.

What is an Extraction Point in Arc Raiders?

The Extraction Points are designated sites on the topside that allow raiders to return to Speranza safely through extraction in Arc Raiders. These Extraction Points differ from one map to another. So, it is crucial to learn about the various Extraction Points available on each map, and they are as follows:

  • Cargo Elevators in Dam Battlegrounds and Spaceport
  • Metro Stations in the Buried City and Stella Montis
  • Air Shafts in the Blue Gate
  • Raider Hatches

All Extraction Points are marked on your map, and each has a distinctive symbol. A downward arrow symbol within a box for Cargo Elevators, a train symbol for metro stations, a fan symbol for Air Shafts, and a downward arrow on top of a hole symbol for raider hatches.

Raider Hatches are a unique Extraction Point, as you need a Raider Hatch Key to activate the hatch; more on that in detail below. Now that you have learned about the different types of Extraction Points available and their symbols in Arc Raiders, let’s deep dive into how to extract next.

How to Extract Safely in Arc Raiders

Although there are different kinds of Extraction Points in Arc Raiders, there is only one way to extract, thankfully. As you are aware, each raid in Arc Raiders lasts for only 30 minutes, and each Extraction Point also has its own countdown timer. Once the timer runs out, the respective Extraction Point is permanently closed.

So, if you have secured a good amount of loot and plan to return to Speranza, look out for an active Extraction Point and avoid running into ARC enemies. Then, here are the exact steps you need to carefully follow to extract safely in Arc Raiders:

  • Head over to the nearest one and activate the console outside.
  • It doesn’t matter whether the Extraction Point is a Cargo Elevator or Metro Station; you just need to press E and interact with the console.
  • Then an alarm will go off loudly, which is your signal to hide until the elevator or train arrives.
  • The loud sound will obviously attract players and ARC enemies nearby, so hiding for a few minutes is the best choice unless you are brave enough to fight against them with your best loot.
  • Once the cargo elevator opens, a train arrives, or the air shaft unfolds, you can head inside and interact with the secondary console to return to Speranza immediately.
  • In case you cannot or didn’t press the console, you will automatically return to Speranza after 2 minutes as long as you remain inside.
  • Whether your squad member interacted with the console or another raider pressed it, all the raiders inside the Extraction Point will be taken to Speranza safely.
  • Common Extraction Points marked on the map in Arc Raiders
  • Calling a Cargo Elevator in Arc Raiders
  • Alarm blaring at the extraction point after interacting with the console in Arc Raiders
  • Interacting with the second console to immediately return to Speranza in Arc Raiders

Moreover, even if you are knocked out, you can still access an Extraction Point and escape safely, i.e., if you can last until then. Even if you didn’t interact with the second control panel inside, you will be automatically taken back to Speranza after two minutes.

How to Use Raider Hatch Key to Extract in Arc Raiders

Apart from the common Extraction Points where raiders can extract without any keys, there are several Raider Hatches scattered across every map. These hatches can only be opened with a Raider Hatch Key. But the best part about the Raider Hatches is that they come with no timers attached. There are many ways to obtain one, such as crafting, looting, or purchasing from a shop.

If you are unfamiliar with this key, check out our guide to learn how to get and use one in the game. You can freely escape through a hatch anytime, as long as you have a Raider Hatch Key with you. Raider Hatches will always be the safest way to extract in Arc Raiders. Therefore, if you are focused only on looting, always make sure to equip a Raider Hatch Key in your loadout.

What Happens If You Miss Extraction in Arc Raiders?

You need to extract at all costs before the clock runs out, which is the main point of an Extraction Shooter game. However, if you are curious about what happens to a raider if they stay past the limit, the answer is death. Yes, if you have stayed until the last minutes of a raid, you would have noticed that the Orbiter would start to deploy missiles to the topside.

If you stay past the 30-minute mark, you will die as the final missile hits the ground. Following a quick black screen, you will respawn in Speranza, but all your gear and loot will be lost. There is no way to survive the meteor strike, but you can hit the console even in the final second to start extracting or enter an Extraction Point, which was opened by another raider. This will also let you unlock the The Friends We Made Along The Way Arc Raiders trophy.

And that’s everything you need to know about extraction and how to extract safely in Arc Raiders. Newcomers may find the extraction concept a bit overwhelming at first, but you can easily grasp it over time.
