What Are Memory Crystal Shards in Honkai Star Rail
Memory Crystal shards are a form of currency in Amphoreus, the new world added in Honkai Star Rail 3.0. These Crystal shards can be used to purchase items from Janus’ Steed. Other than buying items from Janus’ Steed, you can also use Memory Crystal Shards to find Creation Nymphs. Give Creation Nymphs to each area’s Garmentmaker outpost to get a hint and location of one of the hidden Creation Nymphs that you are yet to find.
How to Get More Memory Crystal Shards In Amphoreus
There are multiple ways to obtain Memory Crystal Shards in Amphoreus, but it all basically revolves around making memories in the new land or doing something for the first time. Here are the different ways I have obtained a Memory Crystal Shard in the game so far:
1. Ride Dromas
The very first Memory Crystal Shard I obtained in Amphoreus was for riding one of the Dromas. They are new dinosaur-like creatures that the netizens of Okhema use to travel around. In the Eternal Holy City of Okhema, you will often find Dromas moving around. Find one of the Dromas not carrying anything and go near it to see the Ride Droma option. Ride the Droma to get one Crystal Shard. If you cannot find a rideable Droma, head to the Droma summon bells and use them to summon one for you.
2. Holy Candle
One of the points of interest in Okhema is Holy Candles, found across the city. Interacting with these leads to some interesting and funny events. So, find any of the Holy Candles and interact with them for the first time to obtain one Memory Crystal Shard.
3. Lipos
Lipos is one of the famous bards of Okhema. This famous bard travels around the city on a Droma and doesn’t have a fixed waiting spot. Look for Lipos and his Droma and speak with him to obtain one Memory Crystal Shard.
4. Perform a Prayer Ritual
In Okhema, you will find these prayer ritual water bowls. Interacting with them provides a blessing of the specific titan. How these blessings work is still unknown, but performing a Prayer Ritual for the first time awards a Memory Crystal Shard.
5. Complete Side Missions
Amphoreus has a ton of new side missions, Okhema being the center of it all in HSR 3.0. Finishing each of the side missions rewards different amounts of Memory Crystal Shards in the game.
6. Recover Shattered Object
One of the cool new mechanics in Amphoreus is the ability to restore broken objects using Oronyx’s Prayer. If you recover one of the broken objects in Okhema for the first time, it rewards you with one Memory Crystal Shard.
7. Buy VIP Membership From Bath Receptionist Xenia
Near the Overflowing Bath’s anchor point is an NPC named Xenia, who is the Bath Receptionist. You can speak to her and buy the VIP membership from her, which will reward you with one Memory Crystal Shard.
8. Verax Leo
Verax Leo is another point of interest in Okhema. This lion head can be found in many places inside the Holy City. It shares a tricky riddle every time you interact with it, and speaking to it for the first time outside of the Trailblazing mission will reward one Memory Crystal Shard.
9. Fragments of Recollection
After finishing the Trailblazing Mission, you will find a Strange Crystal in your personal Path area in Okhema. These strange crystals record your and Dan Heng’s shenanigans in Amphoreus. Activating this Strange Crystal from time to time gives 10 Memory Crystal Shards.
10. Speak with Chrysos’ Heirs in Okhema
After finishing the main HSR 3.0 Trailblazing mission, you can find the Chrysos’ Heirs around the Eternal Holy City of Okhema. Speaking with each of the Chrysos’ Heirs rewards one Memory Crystal each. If you are not sure where to find them, we have listed all Chrysos Heirs locations in HSR 3.0.
