- There are three types of fireworks in Stardew Valley 1.6, including red, purple, and green fireworks.
- You can buy the fireworks from Qi's walnut room on Ginger Island where they cost 1 Qi Gem and are available in unlimited quantities.
- The second location where you'll find the fireworks in the casino shop where they cost 200 Qi Coins and are limited to 20 at a time.
Fireworks are brand-new items in the Stardew Valley 1.6 update that were in the game before but were not available for use. You’re free to set them off and enjoy the beautiful display of fireworks on your screen. You can purchase them in two different shops and both are Qi’s shops. I guess they love fireworks a lot. So, today, we’ll show you where these shops are, how much fireworks cost, and how to use them. So, let’s begin!
Method 1: Purchase from Qi’s Walnut Room on Ginger Island
The first shop you can buy fireworks from is Qi’s Walnut Room on Ginger Island.
You will first need to unlock Ginger Island itself, which you can do by completing the Community Center or JojaMart and then repairing Willy’s boat. The next step would be to unlock Qi’s Walnut Room, which requires you to collect a total of 100 golden walnuts. You can do this by completing various quests on the island and playing the game by farming, fighting, and more.
When you unlock this secret room on Ginger Island, you can then interact with the shop on the right. When you scroll down a bit, you’ll find three types of fireworks. They cost 1 Qi Gem each and the quantities are unlimited.
To acquire Qi Gems, you can trade them for golden walnuts in this shop or interact with the section on the left inside this Walnut Room. This is where you’ll find pretty difficult quests that will yield Qi Gems as your reward.
Method 2: Purchase Fireworks from the Casino Shop
The other shop where you can buy fireworks in Stardew Valley 1.6 is far more easily accessible. So, your first goal is to unlock the Calico Desert.
To do this, you will need to complete Vault Bundles at the Community Center. Then, you can go to the desert and visit Sandy’s Oasis shop. At the beginning, there will be a Bouncer blocking your path to the back room. This is where the casino is at. To get rid of the Bouncer, you will need to finish The Mysterious Qi quest first.
When you enter the casino, go to the upper right corner of the room, where a strange person can be selling a variety of items. Scroll down, and you will find fireworks here. They cost 200 Qi Coins, or 2,000g each. Unlike the other shop, this one sells a limited number of fireworks, which is 20 at a time.
How to Use Fireworks in Stardew Valley 1.6
As you might have noticed in the screenshots above, there are three types of fireworks in the game:
- Red Fireworks
- Green Fireworks
- Purple Fireworks
You can use these fireworks by setting them off. To do that, place them on the ground by selecting them on your hotbar and clicking on a tile close to you. The type of firework determines the shape and the color of the displayed design. The red firework displays a heart, the purple one displays a star, and the green one displays a Junimo.
Moreover, the design size is random, so sometimes it will be large, and other times it will be small. The design’s color affects the entire screen for a couple of seconds, giving it a matching tint.
That’s how you can get and set off fireworks in Stardew Valley 1.6. It’s amazing to see them officially implemented in the game and they are now truly a must when you’re creating a big celebration with your friends. So, which firework is your favorite? Tell us in the comments below!
