The 4-piece Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge is the best Relic set for Rappa as it increases Break Effect by 16%. Additionally, it also allows the Break Damage to ignore 10% of enemy defenses if the wearer has 150% Break Effect, and Super Break Damage to ignore 15% enemy defense if the wearer has 250% Break Effect. At 250% Break Effect, this Relic set will massively increase the damage done by Rappa to enemies.
Other than that, a 4-piece of Wastelander of Banditry Desert Relic set is another good option for Rappa. It increases the Imaginary Damage of Rappa by 10% and when attacking debuffed enemies, it increases the Crit Rate by 10%, while also increasing the Crit Damage by 20% against imprisoned enemies. As Rappa will focus on Breaking Enemy weakness, most enemies against her will be imprisoned in fights, so it’s a good Relic option for her.
You can also use the Thief of Shooting Meteor for Rappa if you have good stats on it. This Relic set also gives a good Break Effect boost to the wearer.

Talia: Kingdom of Banditry is the best Planar Ornament for Rappa in Honkai Star Rail. This Planar Ornament gives a 16% Break Effect buff to the wearer, with an additional 20% Break Effect increase when the wearer’s Speed reaches 145 or higher.
The Forge of the Kalpagni Lantern is another good option for Rappa, but it is only limited against enemies with Fire Weakness. Compared to that, the Space Sealing Station can be a good choice if you have good stats on it.

This Light Cone increases the Break Effect of the wearer by 60% and regenerates 30 energy after entering battle. Additionally, after the wearer uses Ultimate, they gain Raiton, which advances the wearer’s action by 50% after they use 2 Basic Attacks. Raiton is removed after using 2 Basic attacks and is reset when the wearer uses the Ultimate.
For her alternative Light Cones, the After the Charmony Fall is the best 4-star Light Cone for her. It increases the Other than that, you can also use Shared Feeling, Post-Op Conversation, and Perfect Timing, however, these Light Cones don’t provide any buff to Break Effect by 28% and additionally increase Speed by 8% for 2 turns after the wearer uses Ultimate.
Other than that, you can use Geniuses’ Repose, The Seriousness of Breakfast or the Day the Cosmos Fell Light Cones for Rappa’s best build in HSR.

The best team for Rappa will be a complete Break-Effect focused team. Rappa’s best party members are Harmony Trailblazer, Ruan Mei, Lingsha, and Gallagher, who all increase the Break Damage of the DPS in some way. Other than that, you can also use Hunt March 7th with Aventurine and Harmony Trailblazer to create a Mono Imaginary team for Rappa.
For her F2P teams, pair Rappa with Hunt March 7th, Harmony Trailblazer, and Gallagher to create a strong F2P Break team. You can also replace March 7th with Tingyun if you want, as her Ultimate will be quite useful to Rappa.
Is Rappa Worth Pulling in Honkai Star Rail?
Overall, Rappa has a really strong Break unit and she can Break Multiple characters at once. Most of her attacks deal Toughness damage irrespective of the enemy weakness type, making her quite an asset to have as DPS. She will likely not be comparable to Firefly in terms of damage output, but Rappa definitely out-damages Boothill as a Break Damage due to the high number of AoE attacks she has in her kit.
If you don’t have any DPS for Pure Fiction, or looking for an Imaginary DPS unit, then I think Rappa can be a good choice for you. However, I would recommend waiting for version 2.7, as it will introduce Sunday and Fugue (Tingyun’s new form), which are both expected to be insanely good Support units.
