Who is Evanescia in Honkai Star Rail?
Evanescia is likely the most important character of Planarcadia in Honkai Star Rail. She is shown as a mysterious girl who stays inside the artwork and partially oversees the Phantasmoon games. She helped the Trailblazer, giving them one of the masks to become a supplicant for the games, and is likely one of the good characters.
We see Evanescia break the fourthwall in Honkai Star Rail 4.0 trailblazing missions, when she directly speaks with the player. Slight hints like these enforce the importance of the character. Evanescia is also an EXPY of Yae Sakura from Honkai Impact 3rd.
Also, from what we have seen so far in the story, it appears as if Evanescia and Himeko are connected somehow. They both likely were part of the Phantasmoon games 15 years ago, and that’s when Evanescia may have become stuck in the painting.
When Will Evanescia Become Playable in Honkai Star Rail?
The current rumors say that Honkai Star Rail Evanescia will become playable in version 4.2. We expect Evanescia to become playable in HSR because she was initially revealed in the first Planarcadia drip marketing tease. HSR Evanescia’s Kit, Element, Rarity, and Path
Although there is no official confirmation of Evanescia’s element, rarity, and path, we do have some leaks and can make some educated guesses based on her lore. First of all, most trustworthy leaks mention Evanescia as an Elation character. Other than that, we can expect her to be a 5-star character. There is no way Hoyoverse makes her a 4-star character when they are marketing her so hard in the main storyline.
