Honkai Star Rail 4.0 will add two new characters to the game. These two characters are Sparxie and Yao Guang. Both of them are 5-star characters and from the Elation path. Here are some details about both of them:
Sparxie
Sparxie is either an alter ego of Sparkle or her sibling. She is also one of the first Elation characters and has the Fire element. There is very little information about Sparxie so far, but her drip marketing does hint her as a content creator, similar to Guinaifen.
Yao Guang
Yao Guang is one of the seven Arbiter-Generals and is known as the Seer Strategist of Xianzhou. She is also an Elation support and has the Physical element.
Honkai Star Rail Old Character Buffs
Two characters will be getting buffs in HSR 4.0. These characters are Sparkle and Black Swan. Their exact buffs are yet unclear, but we will update this section once we find some concrete leaks or official information is revealed about them.
Honkai Star Rail 4.0 Light Cones
HSR 4.0 will add six new Light Cones to the game, all of them from the Elation path. Here is a quick overview of all the Light Cones and their effects:

When the wearer enters combat or uses Ultimate on an ally target, the wearer gains “Great Fortune” for 3 turns. While the wearer has “Great Fortune,” all allies’ CRIT Rate increases by 10%, CRIT DMG increases by 30%, and the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate increases by 12%. When She Decided to See 5-star Elation Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 36%. While the wearer is on the field, for every Elation character on the team, increases the Skill Point upper limit by 1, up to a max increase of 3. For every 1 Skill Point the wearer consumes, ignores 5% of enemy targets’ DEF when this unit deals Elation DMG, and increases all allies’ Elation by 5%. This effect can stack up to 4 times. Light Cone effects of the same type cannot stack. Today’s Good Luck 4-star Elation Increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 12%. When the wearer uses an Elation Skill, increases Elation by 10%, stacking up to 3 times. Mushy Shroomy’s Adventures 4-star Elation Increases the wearer’s Elation by 12%. When the wearer uses an Elation Skill, increases Elation DMG taken by all enemies by 8% for 2 turns. Lingering Tears 3-star Elation When Punchline is 10 or more, the wearer’s CRIT DMG increases by 20%. Sneering 3-star Elation When Aha Instant is activated, the wearer’s Elation increases by 16%, lasting until Aha Instant ends.
Honkai Star Rail 4.0 Relics
Version 4.0 will also add two new relics to the game. Here are the two relics releasing in Honkai Star Rail 4.0:

4-Pc: The Elation DMG dealt by the wearer and their memosprites ignores 10% of targets’ DEF. For each 5 accumulated Punchline allies gained, the Elation DMG dealt additionally ignores 1% of targets’ DEF, which stacks up to 10 times.Diviner of Distant Reach 2-Pc: Increases SPD by 6%.
4-Pc: Before entering combat, if the wearer’s SPD is greater than or equal to 120/160, increases the wearer’s CRIT Rate by 10%/18%. When the wearer uses Elation Skill for the first time in each battle, enhances all allies’ Elation by 10%. This effect cannot stack.
