Late last month, Google started rolling out a major update for Gmail which introduced a bunch of new features to the platform, including a redesigned UI, a new offline mode, a smart compose feature, and a confidential mode, among other things. The update completely transformed the popular email service, giving it a more modern look and providing deeper integration with other Google apps.
Now, according to a recent blog post from the company, G Suite users are getting an additional new feature which will remind them to reply to emails they might have missed on accident. The AI-powered feature will “Nudge” users to reply to missed emails and follow up on emails that still haven’t received a response.
The blog post further reveals that the new ‘Nudges’ feature will be turned on by default for all users who have the new Gmail update enabled, however, users will still have the choice to turn it off in case they don’t want to be nudged. With the new feature, Google aims to help users stay on top of their emails and prioritize their work accordingly.
The Nudges feature has been launched on both Rapid Release and Scheduled Release, making it available to all G Suite editions with the new Gmail enabled. In case you haven’t received the feature yet, Google claims that it will take 1-3 days for a complete roll out, after which all end users will have the feature enabled within the service.
