What Is the Gas Clan Method In Fortnite, and Does It Work? (Pirate Shop Token)

The Pirate Shop Access Token is all the rage in the Treasure Hunters Mini Season and is by far the rarest item in Fortnite at the moment. Some players have been lucky enough to get the Pirate Shop Token in the opening hours of the Mini Season; others have opened hundreds of Fortnite Treasure Chests with no luck. But it would seem that those who allegedly follow the “Gas Clan Method” in Fortnite can get the Pirate Shop Token with ease. Let’s talk about it.

What Is the Gas Clan Pirate Shop Token Method in Fortnite?

The “Gas Clan Method” in Fortnite is presumably a ‘special’ way to ensure the highest drop rate for the Pirate Shop Token. The YouTube channel “Gas Clan” posted a video, claiming that using one of the Fortnite One Piece skins improves the odds of getting a Pirate Shop Token when opening a chest.

The video in question showcases Snowslept’s gameplay from November 1, 2026. He was the first official player to get the Pirate Shop Access Token in Fortnite and was also using Ace’s skin when it happened. However, as mentioned by Epic Games, everything is based on RNG.

There’s no guaranteed method since the odds of finding the Pirate Shop Token are 1 in 700,000. Snowslept was able to get the token after opening just 37 Treasure Chests in Fortnite. At the same time, others have opened thousands without any luck.

However, with the arrival of the “Gas Clan Method”, the YouTube channels claim that they’ve been able to help dozens of players obtain the Pirate Shop Token. Unfortunately, that’s not the case, and the Chester Fortnite Sprite, who’s missing an eye, can even see that clearly.

Is the Gas Clan Method Legit?

No, the Gas Clan Method isn’t legit because it’s not a viable method. There is no strategy, there is no guarantee, there is nothing except the creator asking players to subscribe and use their Fortnite Creator Code. This is similar to when a certain creator claimed their SAC could be used to get the Crystallized Punisher Pickaxe in Fortnite.

Returning to Gas Clan’s YouTube videos, many users drop their ID in the hope that the creator will join them in a Battle Royale or Fortnite Zero Build match, which they presume boosts their odds of getting a Pirate Shop Token.

The end goal here is to amass subscribers and keep posting clips taken from other players to post as their own. They state they can ‘help players’ get the Token and go as far as saying that they’ve helped dozens of players thus far. In one of Gas Clan’s videos on YouTube, they state they’ve got the Pirate Shop Token a total of nine times, which is not possible.

This stems from the fact that there are only two available in total, one of which can only be obtained starting in January 2027, long after Fortnite Treasure Hunters Mini Season ends. As such, these claims are false and extremely misleading. Wearing Nico or Ace’s skin from the Fortnite Treasure Hunters Battle Pass or anything else does nothing.

Which Is the “Best” Method to Get Pirate Shop Tokens in Fortnite?

There are a few methods to get a Pirate Shop Access Token in Fortnite, but none of them are guaranteed. They merely improve the odds of coming across the item, but there’s no guarantee. The most popular method is landing and digging up buried chests to search at the One Piece Chest in Fortnite, but it’s a hot-drop location.

Another viable method is using the recently discovered Fortnite Pirate Shop Token Vault Glitch. This essentially allows you to bypass the need to open Vaults in Fortnite, while still being able to destroy the chests inside. Since you get the Pirate Shop Token by either searching or destroying chests, it makes sense to try to do so.

There are also two Hidden Puzzles in Fortnite that you can solve to get Rare Treasure Chests. They give good loot from the Fortnite Treasure Hunters Loot Pool, but again, there’s no guarantee of getting a Pirate Shop Token.

Lastly, you could even complete Wanted Posters to get the newly added Fortnite Treasure Hunters Sprites and hope you get the Pirate Shop Token. However, as mentioned, everything is based on RNG and luck. There’s no special way to get it; subscribing to a channel, using an emote, or sacrificing Peely will not help change statistics.
