Fortnite’s latest chapter has officially launched, bringing players into a mystical realm of demons and warriors. Chapter 6, Season 1, titled “HUNTERS,” transforms the map into a Japanese-themed experience. The season will run until February 21, 2024, giving players plenty of time to explore all the new content. Here’s what’s new.
What’s New in Fortnite Chapter 6?
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 is finally out! Chapter 6 introduces players to a stunning landscape filled with new POIs across the map. Players can explore Seaport City, the map’s central location packed with tall buildings perfect for close combat and for those who prefer traditional Japanese settings, the map offers the grand Warrior’s Watch temple and the peaceful Flooded Frogs training grounds. If you’re into crossovers, you’ll see both Godzilla and Baymax from Big Hero 6 joining the game.
Two formidable bosses now roam the island. Shogun X is a demon warrior who drops a special Wanderer Medallion when defeated. This medallion lets players have infinite stamina and turn invisible while running. The other boss is Night Rose. You can beat her and you’ll get the Night Rose Medallion, which makes your weapons reload by themselves.
Something else worth mentioning: Fortnite OG is coming back on December 6, and this time it’s staying. You can play all ten seasons from Chapter 1 with all the original weapons and items. You can play it in both Build and Zero Build modes and choose how you want to experience it.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Battle Pass and Pricing
The Battle Pass has seen some changes for Chapter 6. It now costs 1,000 V-Bucks, a slight increase from the previous 950. Players who want to get ahead can still purchase the Battle Bundle upgrade for 2,800 V-Bucks, which instantly advances you to Tier 25. Fortnite Crew subscribers get even more value, as their subscription now includes not just the Battle Pass but also the Music Pass and LEGO Pass.
This season’s Battle Pass offers a diverse roster of characters. Players immediately unlock Nyanja, a two-tailed trickster, and can progress to earn other unique outfits, including the mysterious Jade, the wandering ronin Kendo, and Shadow Blade Hope.
Disney fans will be pleased to find Baymax among the rewards, while January will bring the mighty Godzilla through special Battle Pass Quests.
Chapter 6 looks promising. The Japanese theme is something Fortnite hasn’t really explored in depth before. Whether you’re interested in the new features or just want to play some OG Fortnite, there’s probably something in this update that’ll catch your interest.
