Fortnite has just aired its latest live event, Zero Hour, in-game, and players joined in massive numbers to play. The event consisted of a full 12-minute gameplay sequence, mixed with cinematics where players fought the Dark presence on the island.

While it took players a while to get in when the event playlist went live (thanks to Matchmaking Errors), the event began after an in-game countdown of 45 minutes as Hope and Jonesy set up Rift Beacons to summon several characters spread throughout the multiverse in the pre-event lobby, as players either attempted to wake up Homer or parkoured along pipes. Now, if you missed anything of what I’m talking about here, we’ve got the full recap for you right here.

What Happened in Fortnite Zero Hour Live Event Today?

The Zero Hour live event in Fortnite began with Hope and Jonesy calling in assistance using Jonesy’s Rift Gun to travel back to the island and defeat the Dark Presence. Some names that were mentioned in the pre-event lobby were Kong, Godzilla, Superman, Mecha Team Leader, and Star Wars X-Wings.

As the event began, Jonesy rifted all players to the island, but instead, we took a trip across multiple realities. The first included a black and white detective noir era, and the second was Fall Guys reality, the third was a concert at a basketball court with Playboi Carti, then Simpsons island bouncing on Giant Homer’s belly, Hatsune Miku concert, Bobblehead reality, in Star Wars space in front of a Star Destroyer, Prop Hunt reality, Underwater, Comic Book Page, Lava Hell, and finally the destroyed Chapter 6 island.

Then, the Giant Presence rose from the ground into a huge monster, and Jonesy teamed up with the loopers to face the menace. Meanwhile, an Avengers Endgame-style assemble moment happened in the live event as characters from almost every Fortnite collab appeared out of rifts that opened behind Jonesy, and everyone started charging towards the monster – even Godzilla, Kong, Ice King’s Creature, and Mecha Team Leader joined in!

Players then boarded a chopper piloted by K-Pop Demon Hunters and fired at the presence with their OXR Rifle. Then, as the chopper crashed down, players were left with Dual Micro SMGs to squash bugs and fight the tentacle alone. Suddenly, to save the loopers, The Bride from Kill Bill appeared and carried the loopers on the back of her bike towards the Giant Presence, as they equipped a Jet Pack. As players flew and kept attacking the presence, Jonesy summoned a Red Kevin the Cube on the island to beam the demon with strong red lightning.

However, the demon was able to throw the cube in another direction. But thankfully, Mecha Team Leader kicked the cube right at the presence’s face and eliminated it successfully. Shortly after, the island was finally restored by the Zero Shard, and a trailer reflecting on the legacy of the Zero Point played as Jonesy still finds The Seven’s location, which is currently unknown.

The event ended with an official trailer for Chapter 7, which sees players partying on a new Battlewood map, but a greater threat in the form of The Last Reality returns as The Queen’s Cradle beams the Battle Bus out of the air, sending the entire game into downtime, and referencing a 6 7 meme (yup, they did that).
