Full List of Open Ocean Bestiary in Fisch

The very basic requirement to get to the Second Sea in Fisch is to complete the Cthulhu boss fight. This can be done at Terrapin Island after interacting with the Sea Traveler NPC. Once done, you will teleport to the Waveborne island that looks similar to Moosewood in the first sea.

So, having reached this new world, you can spawn your boat in a similar way as before at the Shipwright and then explore the open ocean. Fishing anywhere on the water body except for the regions close to the islands will give you fishes from the Open Ocean Bestiary.

In this vast region, you will find 22 fishes, including two Secrets, two Exotics, and three Mythicals as well. However, it is worth noting that the last Dogefin fish is currently unobtainable due to a bug in the game. So, here is the list of all fishes you will get along with their preferences:

Best Tips and Tricks to Complete Open Ocean Bestiary in Fisch

The Open Ocean houses lots of strong fishes that have an exceptional ability to move while reeling in. So, you will require some of the best rods in Fisch to catch them all. Once you use our combination of fishing rods, baits, and enchants, it will get really easy to get the Secrets and Exotics here. So follow the tips as we have stated below:

1. Best Rods for Open Ocean Bestiary

Looking at the huge negative progress speed effect applied to your rods in the Second Sea, I will suggest using a rod with high Resilience stat. You must use the rods from the First Sea here since the Second Sea rods don’t have very good stats as of now.

Among the rods of the first sea, I’ll suggest using the Ethereal Prism Rod or the Rod of the Forgotten Fang. These are the topmost choices due to their balanced overall stats and the impressive passive of the latter rod to provide you with higher-tier fishes.

2. Use the Best Enchants for Open Ocean

Coming to what enchants you, you can go with the rods, I would suggest using Mystical or Resilient for both of them, or go with the Quality enchant. Since both rods are pretty well balanced in all aspects, Quality will improve their overall stats by 10-15%.

Furthermore, the Mystical enchant will help your rod cope with the 50% debuff that each of the first sea rods receives. You may also check out all Fisch enchantments here and take your own pick.

3. Best Baits for Open Ocean Bestiary

Finally, try using the baits that provide you with Lure Speed and Resilience boosts. Consider using Coral, Seaweed, or Deep Coral baits as they are the perfect choices. As of now, there is no accurate way to get the Second Sea baits.

However, if you can get your hands on them, prefer those as the Second Sea baits provide much better resilience. You can also check out our Fisch bait guide and furthermore redeem the latest Fisch codes to get some of them for free.

4. Best Rod, Bait, and Enchant Combo for Open Ocean

Now that you know all about the combinations you can use, try experimenting with various baits and enchants to know what suits you the best. In my opinion, using the Rod of the Forgotten Fang with Mystical enchant and Coral baits helped me catch a lot of fishes in the Open Ocean in no time.

With that, here lies all the fishes of the Open Ocean bestiary, including what rods to use along with the tips and tricks. What do you think about these tips? Let us know in the comments below!
