Fallout is all set to return with a brand new season this December, and it appears that this time around, the stakes are even higher as Lucy and the Ghoul venture into New Vegas. As we all know, Fallout: New Vegas is the game’s most popular and most played instalment, so bringing the elements of this beloved game to our screens is a task to be handled rather carefully. However, if you are a bit rusty on what happened in the previous season, here is a Fallout Season 1 recap to remember before we dive into Season 2.
Lucy Heading Out of Vault 33

In Fallout Season 2, we see Lucy get married to a Vault 32 dweller, but things take a turn when raiders invade and kidnap her father, Hank. Lucy makes up her mind to go out of the vault and look for her father to bring him back.
She initially has trouble because of her naivety, since Vault Dwellers were never introduced to the surface, Lucy had no idea how terrible the world outside the vaults is. There, she meets Dr. Wilzig, who gives her the head containing a cold fusion device and asks her to take it to his associate, Moldaver.
Maximus’ Arc
Another character that gradually became a fan favorite is Maximus, a Squire at the Brotherhood of Steel, who dons Titus’s armor after he is killed. He then heads out to look for and capture Dr. Wilzig. On his way, he allies with Lucy and eventually comes to question his morality and identity. However, by the end of Season 1, he finds his place back in the Brotherhood but is clearly conflicted if he wants to go back or stick with Lucy.
The Ghoul Comes into the Picture
The Ghoul, as seen in Fallout Season 1, is a 200-year-old man who was mutated as a result of the nuclear fallout and was once a renowned actor named Cooper Howard. Now, in the wasteland, he is an outlaw and has been offered a hefty bounty to retrieve Dr. Wilzig’s head, but eventually allies with Lucy in her quest to find Hank.
The Truth about Hank
One of the most gut-wrenching things from Lucy’s point of view was the truth about Hank. It was revealed that Hank was not only an executive at Vault-Tech but was also responsible for the Nuclear destruction of Shady Sands. He is also an ex-resident of Vault-31 and one of the original executives who survived the nuclear war by hiding in Vault-31.
This revelation was not taken lightly by Lucy, and Hank had to escape in a stolen power armor with the Ghoul on the tracks that would lead him to Hank’s hidden masters. Lucy also tagged along with him, and what happens next will be seen in the upcoming season.
So, with that, I hope you have everything you need to dive into the upcoming season, and now all that’s left to do is wait for Fallout Season 2 to be released on December 17, 2025.
