Google announced the Doodle 4 Google contest for Indian students a couple of months ago, inviting creative and art-loving students from all across the country to express their skills in the form of doodles. Google has now selected the top 20 entries for the contest across 5 different groups and has showcased the shortlisted doodles on the official Google Doodle India website.

The winner of the Doodle 4 Google contest’s 2018 edition will get their entry featured as the Google doodle on Children’s Day (November 14), in addition to a prize of Rs. 500,000 in college scholarship, a trip to the Google India office and a lot more. Voting is now live and will conclude at 10:00 AM (IST) on November 6.

The winning entry for the contest will be judged by a 4-member panel which consists of Ryan Germick, the leader of Google’s doodle team, YouTubers Sejal Kumar and Rob as well as Arun Iyer. The theme for this year’s Doodle 4 Google contest is ‘what inspires you’ and invited creatively designed doodles using crayons, clay, water colors, and graphic designs.

Entries for the competition have been divided into five groups which consist of students from Class 1-2, Class 3-4, Class 5-6, Class 7-8 and Class 9-10. Google has revealed that over 55% of the entries for the competition were sent from students in non-metro cities such as Bhopal, Jabalpur and Bareilly, which yet again proved that creativity truly knows no boundaries.
