- Borderlands 4 does not have a Field of View slider on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game.
- BL4's PC version does have an FOV slider, which maxes out at 110.
- The consoles versions will likely receive an FOV slider via a future update.
Borderlands 4 has garnered critical acclaim from critics and content creators alike, with some even calling it the best iteration of the franchise’s signature looter-shooter action. Being a First-Person shooter in the modern era, the game offers a wide range of accessibility settings, and many players are wondering whether this includes a Field of View (FOV) slider. The QoL option is considered an absolute necessity by many. So, we’ve answered whether Borderlands 4 has an FOV slider in this guide.
Is There an FOV Slider in Borderlands 4?
Yes, Borderlands 4 does have an FOV slider, but only on the PC version of the game. The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of BL4 do not have a Field of View slider.
Needless to say, this comes as a massive disappointment. Almost every major FPS title on console carries this accessibility feature, so seeing Gearbox skip out on it is quite surprising. BL4 is even missing the option to turn off Motion Blur on consoles, which is even more shocking.
Rest assured, the FOV slider will likely be added with a future update. When that update arrives, however, it is currently unknown.
Best FOV Settings for Borderlands 4 on PC

You’ll find two Field of View sliders in the PC settings menu, one for standard gameplay and one for vehicles. We recommend using a setting in the range of 100-110 to get a decent enough view of your surroundings without feeling like the camera is too far away.
The PC version also has an option to toggle off Motion Blur. Seeing as the options are present on PC, they’re more than likely to migrate over to consoles at some point.
And that is everything you need to know about the FOV slider in Borderlands 4. Are you disappointed by the feature being missing on consoles? Be sure to let us know in the comments.
