Kojima and his team continue to implement unique and wacky ideas in Death Stranding 2. Similar to pizza delivery missions in the original game, you’ll meet a new prepper known as The Pizza Chef. As a reward for delivering his pizzas and cargo, the Pizza Chef will teach Sam the art of Pizza Karate. How to Unlock Pizza-Do Karate in Death Stranding 2
Pizza-Do Acrobatic Karate is a technique invented by the Pizza Chef by combining his karate and pizza-making skills. The Pizza Chef is played by legendary Japanese filmmaker Mamoru Oshii, as mentioned in our Death Stranding 2 celebrity cameo list. So, follow the steps below to unlock the karate technique in Death Stranding 2:
1. Complete Order 107
The Pizza Chef will be connected to the Chiral Network in one of the main story missions in Death Stranding 2. After bringing him into the network, take up order number 107 – Recover One or More Empty Pizza Containers from the Armed Survivalists’ Base.
Then, sneak in or go with your guns blazing to the Armed Survivalists’ base near the Pizza Chef’s shelter and collect the required empty pizza containers.
2. Defeat Ghost Mechs and Check the Status of the Pizza Chef
Once you’ve collected the empty pizza containers, return to the Pizza Chef’s shelter to deliver and report them. As usual, the chef will evaluate the order and give a rating based on the shape of the cargo. However, the main door of the pizza chef’s shelter unexpectedly opens after the evaluation. Go through the door, and you will be surprised to find that this shelter has been used by Higgs to fabricate weapons.
Two ghost mechs will spawn inside the shelter during your investigation of the base. Thus, be ready with your weapons and eliminate them as soon as they arrive. Right after defeating the mechs, open the door in front of you to check the status of the Pizza Chef.
3. Complete the ‘Free the Trapped Pizza Chef’ Mission
As Sam heads inside the kitchen, the chef mistakes him for an adversary, and the two then exchange blows, where the pizza chef excels with his martial arts. The chef soon realizes that it’s Sam, the man who delivers, and offers him a slice of his heavenly pizza.
Then, the chef will activate his Pizza Atami restaurant sign and explain how the Ghost Mechs held him captive. Then they played impostors and smuggled weapons using his base. Fortunately, Sam saved the pizza chef’s life by defeating the mechs.
As a reward for saving his life, the Pizza Chef will present you with the following rewards: a rubber pizza blueprint, one of the many Death Stranding 2 weapons, and a secret scroll containing details about the Great Spinning Pizza Strike.
Pizza-Do Acrobatic Karate Technique in Death Stranding 2
To unlock more techniques, all you have to do is take on more orders at the Pizza Chef’s shelter and deliver them. As your connection level with the Pizza chef increases, he will teach you the secrets of Pizza-Do Acrobatic Karate by giving you the scrolls for striking, kicking, and slamming.
