BlipCut Video Translator Bridges Language Barriers with AI

In Short
  • BlipCut is an AI Voice Translation tool that offers functions like AI transcripts and a subtitle generator.
  • It uses DeepSeek's R1 model to generate accurate transcripts and translate them inside videos.
  • The tool is geared toward content creators and businesses who want to reach more people around the globe.

Artificial Intelligence, as a technology niche, has rapidly outgrown other areas of Technological development. As we move closer and closer to having independent Androids that can assist us with chores, AI has also made significant strides in content development. It makes editing videos much easier, and you can also translate them while retaining the host’s lip movement, making it seem like magic. One such software that offers this is BlipCut Video Translator.

What is BlipCut Video Translator?

BlipCut is a video translator software that, well, helps you translate videos into different languages. The firm claims it uses DeepSeek’s R1 model to translate. It can automatically detect the speaker’s language and translate into a myriad of different languages.

Some of its other features include a Subtitle Generator, AI transcription generator, and lastly, a Voice Library where you can train the AI on your voice to use it when translating videos. BlipCut can use the videos from your computer’s storage. Or you could paste a link to the YouTube or TikTok video that you want to translate.

While BlipCut’s landing page might give you the impression that the app supports voice translation with lip-sync, we found out that’s not the case. The firm claims it’s coming sometime in the future. BlipCut is available on Windows, macOS, and as a Chrome Extension as well as the web and can translate in over 50 languages.

Who is BlipCut Video Translator For?

  1. If you’re a creator who wants to reach a broader user demographic, BlipCut is among the best software you can use. Catering to a native audience is easy, but BlipCut makes it easier for your content to reach a wider audience. A higher number of users means superior income as well.
  2. Businesses can leverage the translation features to effectively communicate with their international clients. This may result in increased sales and the accurate translations could make clients understand the product better
  3. Similarly, one of the other great uses of BlipCut Video Translator is to learn different languages and improve comprehension. It’s also beneficial for game streamers, e-learning, social media, and localizing ads to, again, reach more audience and promote content that’s in your language in the local language.

Hence, no matter if you’re an individual or a firm, you can use BlipCut to make it big on the world stage. With support for over 130 languages, extremely accurate translations, and subtitles, you can ensure your content is not only well translated but also fit for publishing without spending much time reviewing it over and over again. Besides, with AI generative subtitles, AI clipping, and voiceovers, it offers versatility to creators and businesses.

BlipCut Video Translator Features

One of the best things about BlipCut is that it can translate in over 50 languages with batch edit support. The translations are usually extremely accurate, including the generated transcripts and subtitles in the desired language.

Then comes the subtitle generator, which, as the name suggests, generates subtitles for your videos in all the supported languages. So, if a video is in English, you can use the subtitle generator and export just the subtitles to export them in VTT or SRT formats, which can be used when uploading to YouTube. It makes your job just that much easier.

The AI transcription feature generates transcripts for various parts of the video with time stamps in your desired language. You can edit these transcripts if they’re wrong, merge certain parts of a video, delete them, or jump to that particular part of the video. This could be useful for videos that have multiple people in a conversation, in which you may want to edit some parts of the video.

BlipCut Subtitle accuracy and speakers

In our usage, these transcripts and subtitles were exceptionally accurate, which is what we expect with DeepSeek’s R1 model. The Voice Library lets you record your voice to clone it and make it sound like you’re speaking different languages. It definitely makes an impact and can be used without any hesitation. Although we wish BlipCut shipped with lip-syncing features, it would have complemented the existing features really well.

One of the areas the software needs to work on is the loading speeds in its library. In some instances, handling videos could get sluggish, especially if there are lots in your library. Here’s what the output looks like when translated to Hindi after being trained by the host’s voice.

Mind you, we trained it for just a minute, when BlipCut suggests 10 minutes for ideal output. For comparison, you can check the original video here.

Getting Started with BlipCut Video Translator

To get the app up and running on Windows was pretty easy. All we had to do is download the latest version of BlipCut, go through the setup process, and sign in to our account. Within moments, we were able to upload videos from our computer and paste links to YouTube videos. The upload speeds were fairly quick. The interface is extremely easy to get around and use, making it easier to use for non-seasoned users.

  1. To upload a video, just head over to BlipCut’s home page and click Create Now.

If you checked the Subtitles option when uploading the video, you can also customize the subtitles. You can change the way they look by modifying fonts, spacing, styles, alignment, font color, background color, and shadow color. You can also turn them off instantly by clicking on the CC button in the preview.

Overall, the user interface is definitely one of the strong suites of the application. Sure, it may take time to load your projects, especially if there are a lot of them. But the organized and labelled layout makes it easier to get to the video you’re looking for.

How Does BlipCut Compare to Its Competitors?

BlipCut combines great translation capabilities with ease of use, and people have a lot of positive things to say about it. And while the ability to translate 130 languages may seem enough, Rask AI can also translate to over 130 languages, and Heygen can translate up to 175 languages. However, BlipCut takes the lead in batch uploads with the ability to upload 20 files at a time compared to Rask’s 10 files. Besides, BlipCut is available on more platforms than the other two software.

However, BlipCut’s free version is a bit limited in a few regards. New users get credits that get used depending on the task they upload, whereas Rask AI gives you 3 free minutes per month, while HeyGen gives 3 videos up to 3 mins and 720p uploads. Besides, HeyGen also gives you one free digital twin, and you can use it to make videos instantly. Pretty cool. But HeyGen is also pretty expensive.

Another difference is that the free version of BlipCut is a bit restrictive on the number of languages you can translate to. Therefore, while HeyGen might offer more for free to lure in users, BlipCut is more geared toward creators and businesses who are serious about reaching out to a wider demographic of audiences.

Similarly, Rask AI’s basic plan starts at $50, which is definitely on the expensive side with other plans starting at $120 and $600. Overall, BlipCut is a pretty affordable service compared to others.

BlipCut Plans and Pricing

BlipCut Video Translator is available in four different plans. The monthly subscription costs $39.99 per month and gives 90 credits with 90 minutes of AI translation, 360 minutes of AI subtitles, 900 minutes of AI clipping, and 180,000 characters of AI voiceovers. This could be a great plan for budding video creators or firms who publish a few times a week.

The weekly subscription is a bit more flexible, costing $16.99 per week. It gives you 30 credits, 30 minutes of AI translation, 120 minutes of AI subtitles, 300 minutes of AI Clipping, and 60,000 characters of AI Voiceovers.

If you regularly edit video, the yearly subscription that costs $300 per year gets you a whopping 900 credits, 900 minutes of AI translation, 3600 minutes of AI subtitles, 9000 minutes of AI Clipping, and 1,800,000 characters of AI Voiceovers.

There’s also a pay as you go plan, which is kind of like a postpaid mobile plan where you pay for what you use. The plans cost $189.99, $459.99, and $1,399.99, and the maximum credits you can get is 3,000, alongside other perks.

Overall, BlipCut Video Translator is hands down one of the most feature-rich and easiest video translator tools we’ve reviewed. It gets most things right with a great number of supported languages, voice cloning, and availability on different platforms. If the firm can speed up the slow loading speeds of the uploaded media on the projects page, it can get even better.
