Black Shark powerbank launched: specs and price

Xiaomi-backed Black Shark is fast expanding its gaming smartphone lineup. The company recently launched the Snapdragon 855 Plus-powered Black Shark 2 Pro in China, with the whole accessory portfolio. Well, the latest addition to the accessory lineup comes is Black Shark power bank with a 10,000mAh capacity and bi-directional fast-charging.

One of the things that would have already caught your eye is the aesthetics of this power bank. It carries forward the “X” design language of the Black Shark smartphone, offering an armored body and silver wing protective coating to make the power bank stand out. It even brings along a green LED strip in the center to show battery status.

The company has baked in two USB-A ports, which support 18W fast-charging, and one USB Type-C port into this power bank. It can juice up the Black Shark 2 Pro up to 47 percent in 30 minutes, which is twice as much the charge a 10W charger will be able to transmit in the same time. Black Shark takes care of the safety with in-built measures, which will protect this beast against excessive heating, short circuit or overcurrent.

The USB Type-C port is reverse compatible, so you can use it to charge the power bank and other devices as well. The green button atop the power bank can help slow down its charging speed, similar to what we see on almost every Xiaomi power bank, to make the charging of smaller devices like the Mi Band or Gamepad possible.

The Black Shark 10,000mAh power bank is priced at 119 yuan (around Rs 1,200) and is already up for sale in China. Check out this power bank here. So, what are your thoughts on this intense-looking power bank? Tell us in the comments down below.
