It takes a lot of excellence to become a staple in a place like Marvel Studios, but the Russo Brothers have single-handedly given us some of the best movies from Marvel. Now, Anthony and Joe Russo are set to direct Avengers Doomsday as well as Avengers Secret Wars.
They first stepped into the world of Marvel with directorial credits in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), which turned out to be one of the most successful movies from Marvel, and then continued to make Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and finally, Avengers: Endgame (2019).

Now, as we already know, this isn’t the complete cast of Avengers Doomsday, and there are still some highly anticipated actors and characters, like Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, yet to be officially announced. That said, rumors suggest that Spider-Man might not appear in the movie this time around. However, with Spider-Man Brand New Day releasing before Doomsday, there’s still a decent chance he could show up. So, let’s just wait and see how things unfold.
What Could Be The Plot of Avengers Doomsday?
Now this right here, the plot of Avengers Doomsday, is like Pandora’s Box, locked tight and hidden from everyone. Some even claim that the actors themselves don’t know the full story, only the parts their characters are involved in. That just goes to show how closely Marvel is guarding this script. Still, even with limited information, we can take a guess based on everything we’ve seen in the MCU so far and the theories currently floating around.
The most compelling theory seems to stem from The Fantastic Four. We already know that Fantastic Four First Steps is set in an alternate dimension, separate from the main MCU continuity. However, the post-credit scene from Thunderbolts confirms that the Fantastic Four will be arriving on Earth-616. Their arrival in the primary timeline suggests that they may have failed to save their world from Galactus and have now escaped to the 616 timeline.
Now, the interesting thing here is, if there’s a world where the Fantastic Four exist, then naturally, Doctor Doom must exist there too. After witnessing the destruction of his world and the failure of the Fantastic Four to stop it, Doom might make it his mission to conquer every dimension out there, believing it’s the only way to prevent such devastation from ever happening again.
So, he tracks the Fantastic Four to Earth-616 and follows them there, setting the stage for the events of Avengers Doomsday. But hey, remember, this is just a theory for now. We’ll have to wait quite a while before we get any official details.
What Is the Avengers Doomsday Budget?
Reportedly, Avengers Doomsday has a budget of $1 billion, making it the most expensive movie ever produced. A huge chunk of this budget ($250 million allegedly) will be spent on the salaries of the cast. To say that the movie has a star-studded cast would be an understatement. There will be at least 35 A-list actors and actresses. This huge Avengers Doomsday budget also puts a lot of pressure on the Studio to deliver the equivalent performance on the screen and mint money as well.
