Alien Romulus was released on August 16, 2024, in the US. Earlier it was supposed to be released just on Hulu but before the filming started, it was shifted to being a theatrical release. Yes, the trailer for Alien: Romulus is out and was released on June 4, 2024. Previously, 20th Century Studious also released a teaser trailer for Alien Romulus which gave us the first look at the upcoming movie. The official trailer for Alien Romulus shows a spaceship with empty corridors and humans facing an attack from aliens. In the trailer, we see Rain Carradine fighting against the aliens which is like the trademark of previously seen Alien movies.

The protagonist of Alien Romulus, Rain Carradine, will be played by Cailee Spaeny. Along with her, we will get to see David Jonsson play the role of a humanoid android named Andy who is like a brother to Rain. What Is the Plot of Alien Romulus
The complete plot synopsis has not been revealed to us as such, but the creators of this movie state that Alien Romulus is going to be a completely stand-alone movie not interconnected with the rest of the movies from the Alien franchise. The only connection it will have is being set between the events of two movies from the original trilogy The official plot synopsis of the movie posted with the trailer reads-
“While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe”
As you can see, the synopsis does not give us a lot of insight into what is going to happen in the movie so it is difficult to say if Alien Romulus will follow the path of being a sci-fi horror movie like the original one or turn out to be an action thriller like the later movies now allow we have to do is wait and see if this turn out to be the best alien movie in the franchise or not.
