In an attempt to counter similar offerings from Reliance Jio, India’s largest telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has launched a new Rs. 249 prepaid pack and has revised the existing Rs. 349 pack.

According to a recent report from Gadgets 360, the new Rs. 249 prepaid pack offers 2GB data per day, along with unlimited calling for a period of 28 days. The Rs. 349 pack, which initially offered 2GB data per day, will now give users 3GB data per day along with unlimited calling for the same duration. The packs also include a daily quota of 100 free text messages on top of the aforementioned benefits.

It’s worth noting that the bundled unlimited calling is limited to 300 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week to prevent misuse. Once the limit is expired, calls will cost 30 paisa per minute which will be deducted from the main balance. The new packs are now available on the MyAirtel app and Airtel’s online recharge portal in the Delhi-NCR circle.

The 2GB data limit per day on the Rs. 249 plan and the 3GB data limit per day on the Rs. 349 plan take the total data quota to 56GB and 84GB, respectively. In contrast, Reliance Jio offers 84GB data for 28 days at Rs. 299 and 140GB data for 70 days at Rs. 398.
