Now that you know every crafting recipe, it’s time to learn how to craft items in 99 Nights in the Forest using the crafting table.

How to Craft Items in 99 Nights in the Forest

Once you load into a game, you will spawn near a crafting bench. Walk up to it and follow the steps below to craft items:

  • Simply head to the crafting bench and press E.
  • This will unlock the crafting table menu with recipes.
  • Now, select the crafting recipe for the item you want to craft.
  • If you have the required materials, submit them at the crafting bench to make the item.
  • And voila, without any wait, your crafted item will be available for use.

You will have four craftable items unlocked at the start, and you can craft more once you upgrade the crafting bench. The crafting bench has five levels, and upgrading to a higher level unlocks a new set of items. To craft each item, you will need a certain amount of materials, mostly wood and metals.

Wood can be obtained by chopping trees. It can sometimes be found as logs in some houses and certain areas of the forest. Metal can be found as scrap items scattered around the forest, such as sheet metal, old radios, bolts, broken fans, metal chairs, etc.

To craft items in the Tool Workshop in 99 Nights in the Forest, you must find the anvil building. Once located, players can craft unique items after assembling the central anvil. It appears as a large stone-brick castle with vines that let players climb to the higher floors.

When spotted, it shows up on the map as an anvil icon. The workshop is guarded by two Cultists and one Crossbow Cultist, who must be defeated to begin crafting. The anvil has three parts: the base on the first floor, and the other two pieces on the second and third floors, respectively.

Once built, the anvil lets you craft a hammer, bandages, mammoth helmet, and more items, but only one item can be crafted at a time.

How to Upgrade the Crafting Bench in 99 Nights in the Forest

As mentioned above, you need to upgrade the crafting bench to unlock new crafting recipes in 99 Nights in the Forest. To do so, simply go to the table and submit the required materials to upgrade it.

That said, here are all 99 Nights in the Forest crafting bench levels, along with the materials required to upgrade them:

  • Crafting Bench level 1: Default crafting table
  • Crafting Bench level 2 upgrade: 5 Wood and 1 Scrap
  • Crafting Bench level 3 upgrade: 15 Wood and 10 Scrap
  • Crafting Bench level 4 upgrade: 20 Scrap, 30 Wood, and 2 Cultist Gem
  • Crafting Bench level 5 upgrade: 50 Scrap, 50 Wood, and 1 Gem of the Forest

Best Items to Craft in 99 Nights in the Forest

Phew, with the basics out of the way, it’s time to talk about the items that you should actually craft and invest your previous resources in. Almost all items are useful; however, the items listed below are must-haves if you want to increase your survivability in 99 Nights in the Forest.

  • Map: This is pretty self-explanatory, as you will need a map to navigate through the forest.
  • Bandage: Any item related to healing and reviving is important in a survival game – 99 Nights in a Forest is no different. This item helps you revive your teammates anywhere.
  • Respawn Capsule: Another item that can revive your teammates if they die.
  • Oil Drill: Oil Drill is an essential item to keep your campfire burning during the late game. So, make sure to put the Oil Drill aiming at the Campfire.
  • Ammo Crate: This can be useful if your teammates are using long-range weapons like a Gun, Revolver, or Rifle.
  • Crock Pot: Keeping your hunger bar full is crucial, and with each passing day, you will need more food to fill the bar. Use the Crock Pot to cook meals, and consuming them will keep your hunger bar full for some time.
  • Beds: Beds are a must-have as they are easy to craft and increase your days counter.
  • Farm Plot: Use the Farm plot to grow carrots every two days. By placing the Crock Pot near the Farm Plot, the vegetables grown will be automatically transferred to the pot.
  • Freezer: A great option to store your collected food items, rather than carrying them in your backpack.

We recommend having at least one team member play the Blacksmith Class. At Blacksmith level III, that player has a higher chance of receiving extra Scrap when placing Scrap items in the Grinder. They will also be able to craft certain items at a discount and unlock access to the next crafting level easily. So, make sure to purchase the class from the Shop using gems that you earn from 99 Nights in the Forest codes, scavenging hunts, and by completing a game run.
