All 2XKO Fuses Explained

2XKO is the first-ever tag fighter from Riot Games, complete with unique elements that make every battle fresh. While the characters you pick sure make a difference in the outcome of a match, 2XKO brings an exciting but confusing Fuse system that plays a significant role. In this guide, we explain everything you need to know about 2XKO Fuses and what each of them does.

What Is 2XKO Fuse?

Fuse is one of the unique gameplay modifiers in 2XKO. It is a powerful way to customize playstyle according to the characters you pick. At the time of writing, there are a total of five Fuses in 2XKO Early Access, aka Season 0.

Every 2XKO Fuse adds something special to the team you choose. Meaning, the fuses help you gain an advantage in the game with unique perks to boost damage, extend combos, or even solo runs.

To use a Fuse in the game, select it after you are done picking 2XKO champions on the select screen. Remember, you cannot change a Fuse in the middle of a match.

All Active 2XKO Fuses

Here is a detailed breakdown of all the Fuses you can use in the game right now:

1. 2X Assist

2x Assist Fuse

The 2X Assist is one of the safe Fuses in 2XKO for beginners. It allows you to use a second assist per assist call. This means you can chain the assists for a bigger combo or even have a breather after a single character combo juggle.

Moreover, you can use a push assist while your character is still on-screen. After that, you can call another assist because the push assist only counts as one slot.

2. Double Down

Double Down 2XKO Fuse

If you are ready for the crazy bait plays, then this Fuse is for you. Double Down in 2XKO lets you cancel a super from your point character into a super from your assist. You can cancel an S1 or S2 super into an ultimate.

However, ultimates cannot be canceled into anything, even with this Fuse. You can also perform a handshake tag during a super, as long as the character you are tagging into was already on-screen before the super began.

3. Freestyle

Freestyle Fuse

Now, we are entering the advanced territory with the Freestyle Fuse in 2XKO. This Fuse lets you handshake tag twice in a single assist call.

Normally, an assist leaves the screen right after tagging in, but with Freestyle, they stay around a bit longer so you can switch back. Using this effect triggers a six-second cooldown before another assist action can be called.

4. Juggernaut

Juggernaut 2XKO

The Juggernaut is one of the hardest Fuses in 2XKO to master. It locks you to a single character, removing all team mechanics except Break. To make up for this, it grants several strong bonuses:

  • Immediate access to Fury Break at the start of every round
  • 20% more max HP and 25% less damage when under 500 health (effective HP boost ranges from 0 to 167 depending on the attack that drops you below 500)
  • Ability to cancel Special 1 and Special 2 supers into each other or into an ultimate.
  • Start each round with 2 bars of meter instead of 1
  • The maximum meter increased to 5 bars
  • Access to Eject, a move that forces the opponent to swap characters
  • More frequent access to Push Assist

5. Sidekick

Sidekick 2XKO fuse

Sidekick is another cool Fuse in 2XKO that sees you use only one character. However, the other character will still be able to use Assists, including Super Assist and Push Assist, and Break. You will no longer get the Quick Tag, Handshake Tag, and Tag Launcher. Here are the benefits you will get as compensation:

  • Access to Fury Break at the start of every match.
  • 20% more max HP and 25% less damage when under 500 health (effective HP boost ranges from 0 to 167 depending on the attack that drops you below 500).
  • Ability to cancel your Special 1 and Special 2 supers into your assist character’s Special 1 and Special 2 supers.
  • Start each round with 2 bars of meter instead of 1.
  • The maximum meter increased to 5 bars.
  • Damage reduction mechanic: press Light, Medium, or Heavy at the exact moment you’re hit to reduce incoming damage (blue sparks confirm success).
  • Charged assists: hold the assist button to make your partner move across the screen, then release to perform their assist.

All Vaulted 2XKO Fuses

There are a couple of 2XKO Fuses that are no longer available for use in the Early Access. Check out all the vaulted Fuses here:

  • Fury: The Fury Fuse is no longer in the game. This has now been replaced with the Fury Break move. While it was available, players could deal bonus damage and gain a special dash cancel when below 40% health.
  • Pulse: The Pulse Fuse is now Pulse Combo, available as a toggle option for all players. It was a great Fuse for beginners as it granted combos when rapidly mashing buttons.

That’s everything you need to know about 2XKO Fuses, including what they do and how you access them. Which Fuse are you using to destroy your opponents? Tell us in the comments below.
