We also recommend that you farm for the Wishes of Quite Snowfall sonata set, and prioritize Crit, Glacio DMG bonus, or ATK% in main and sub stats.

Hiyuki Weapons

Below, we have listed the best weapons for Hiyuki in Wuthering Waves, alongside the best alternatives:

  • Frostburn (Signature, 5-star)
  • Blazing Brilliance (5-star)
  • Emerald of Genesis (5-star)
  • Red Spring (5-star)
  • Feather Edge (4-star)
  • Fable is Wisdom (4-star)

Besides her signature sword, you can use any other weapon that has Crit Rate or Crit DMG on it. The Blazing Brilliance is the second-best option with a high base ATK and 48.60% Crit DMG. Emerald of Genesis, obtainable from the Standard Banner and the Red Spring 5-star sword, has the same stats, with slightly different passives. You can even use Feather Edge or Fable is Wisdom as 4-star options if you lack any 5-star weapons.

Hiyuki Sonata Set

  • Wishes of Quiet Snowfall (5-pc)
  • Freezing Frost (5-pc)

The Wishes of Quiet Snowfall is the best sonata set for Hiyuki in Wuthering Waves. The 5-Piece boosts Glacio DMG and grants the Snowfall effect, increasing Crit Rate by 25% when Resonance Liberation DMG is used. This is perfect for Hiyuki, who relies on the damage of her Resonance Liberation. If you aren’t able to farm this set yet, then the Freezing Frost can be a decent alternative in the meantime.

Hiyuki Main Echo

  • Reminiscence: Threnodian – Voidborne Construct
  • Lampylumen Myriad

The Reminiscence: Threnodian – Voidborne Construct is the best main Echo for Hiyuki as it can not only deal damage when summoned, but also provides an extra 12% Glacio and Resonance Liberation DMG bonus. This is the newly released Echo, which can be used with the 5-pc Wishes of Quiet Snowfall Sonata set. If you don’t have it yet, then the Lampylumen Myriad can be a great alternative, combined with the Freezing Frost 5-pc set.

Hiyuki Teams

Teams that revolve around Hyuki in Wuthering Waves mostly include one support and a Sub-DPS buffer character in Wuthering Waves. The support either provides interruption resistance or healing, and the Sub-DPS buffs Hiyuki while dealing enough damage from the sidelines. Here are some of the best teams that revolve around Hiyuki:

TeamDPSSub DPSSupport
Hiyuki Premium Team IHiyukiLynaeChisa
Hiyuki Premium Team IIHiyukiLynaeMornye
Hiyuki Glacio TeamHiyukiZhezhiChisa
Hiyuki Resonance Liberation TeamHiyukiChangliShorekeeper
Hiyuki F2P Team IHiyukiJiyanxinVerina
Hiyuki F2P Team IIHiyukiSanhuaVerina

Lynae and Chisa are the best teammates for Hiyuki. Lynae is the best sub-DPS due to her massive DMG buffs, which can increase all DMG types and Resonance Liberation DMG. On the other hand, Chisa is the best healer support for Hiyuki as she can increase the max stack limit of Glacio Chafe by 3. Hiyuki’s Inherent Skill also has great synergy with Chisa’s Havoc Bane application, increasing her damage by a lot.

If you don’t have Lynae or Chisa, then Mornye or Shorekeeper works well, alongside sub-DPS that can buff Hiyuki’s Glacio DMG bonus, ATK, Crit Rate, or Crit DMG.

Wuthering Waves Hiyuki Kit

Hiyuki’s kit in Wuthering Waves is based on her two forms. Her entire gameplay is based on switching between her two forms and building up power before dropping a high-scaling Resonance Liberation. Here’s everything that you need to know about her kit.

Hiyuki Kit Explained

  • Scaling: Like a normal DPS character, Hiyuki scales off ATK
  • Role: Glacio DPS
  • Present Self (Normal State): This is the state where Hiyuki starts off after entering the field. She uses Normal Attacks and Resonance Skill to build Forte Gauge Dedication. When Dedication is full, enhanced Heavy Attack and Resonance Liberation are available for use. Using the enhanced Resonance Liberation transforms Hiyuki into her Forclaimed Self.
  • Forclaimed Self (Transformed State): In Foreclaimed Self, Hiyuki restores Forte Gauge Frostheart when Normal Attacks or Resonance Skill hits the target. With sufficient Forte Gauge stacks, dodging allows her to enter Iai Stance. Pressing the Normal Attack in the Iai Stance deals Basic Attack Iai damage, which are quick slashes that can ignore incoming damage.
  • Iai Stance Explained: Every time you use Basic Attack – Iai, you build up a stack of Whiteout Bitterfrost. Once you reach three stacks, you can use Heavy Attack – Bitterfrost in her Forclaimed form to gain a Snowforged Blade stack. These Snowforged Blade stacks can then be spent by charging your Resonance Liberation (Blade Liberation) to increase its damage. And if you don’t use them immediately, they aren’t wasted—they carry over and stay available for later use.
  • Glacio Effects: Applies Glacio Chafe and Glacio Bite to enemies, dealing bonus damage, and triggers effects like Frostbind
  • Off-field Buffs: Provides a team-wide Glacio damage buff even when swapped out.

Mid-air Attack – Present SelfConsumes STA to perform a plunging attack from mid-air, dealing Glacio DMG.
Dodge Counter – Present SelfAfter a successful Dodge, press Normal Attack to counterattack and deal Glacio DMG. Press Normal Attack again within a short window to directly trigger Basic Attack Stage 3.
Basic Attack – Foreclaimed SelfReplaces Present Self attacks in Foreclaimed Self. Perform up to 5 consecutive strikes, dealing Glacio DMG counted as Resonance Liberation DMG. Hits 3, 4, and 5 each apply 1 stack of Glacio Chafe.
Heavy Attack – Foreclaimed SelfHold Normal Attack to enter Hold Breath, continuously consuming STA. Release or run out of STA to perform a forward thrust that deals Glacio DMG (Resonance Liberation DMG). After casting, pressing Normal Attack chains into Stage 2. If Hiyuki is hit during the thrust, she negates the damage, Stagnates nearby enemies, becomes immune to interruption, and takes no damage for a short duration. In this case, the follow-up chains into Stage 4 instead.
Heavy Attack – Bitterfrost: Foreclaimed SelfReplaces the normal Heavy Attack when Whiteout Bitterfrost reaches max stacks. Hold Normal Attack to consume STA and all 3 Bitterfrost stacks, gaining 1 Snowforged Blade while dealing Glacio DMG (Resonance Liberation DMG). Applies 1 stack of Glacio Chafe. If used mid-air, Hiyuki lands before attacking.
Mid-air Attack – Foreclaimed SelfReplaces Present Self mid-air attack. Consume STA to perform up to 3 aerial strikes, dealing Glacio DMG (Resonance Liberation DMG). The 3rd hit is a plunging attack. Hits 2 and 3 apply 1 stack of Glacio Chafe. This combo is not interrupted by other skills (except Basic Attack – Iai) for a short duration. Holding Normal Attack mid-air performs a plunge attack.
Dodge Counter – Foreclaimed SelfReplaces Present Self dodge counter. After dodging, press Normal Attack to deal Glacio DMG (Resonance Liberation DMG). Press again within a short window to chain into Basic Attack Stage 3.
Resonance Skill – Present SelfDeals Glacio DMG and enhances the next Basic Attack Stage 3 to restore 100 Dedication. This buff ends if Hiyuki is switched out. After casting, press or hold Normal Attack to immediately perform Stage 3.
Frostblight: Jade CleaveAvailable in Foreclaimed Self (ground). Pulls nearby enemies together and deals Glacio DMG, removing Frostbind. Shares cooldown with Petalfall.
Frostblight: PetalfallAvailable in Foreclaimed Self (mid-air). Pulls nearby enemies together and deals Glacio DMG, removing Frostbind. Shares cooldown with Jade Cleave.
Foreclaiming: Inward VisionAvailable after using Frost Splinter. In Present Self, activate Resonance Liberation to deal Glacio DMG, gain 3 Frostharden Iai, consume all Dedication and Frostheart, enter Foreclaimed Self, and restore 50 Frostheart. Applies 4 stacks of Glacio Chafe. Does not consume Resonance Energy.
Foreclaiming: Blade LiberationUsable in Foreclaimed Self. Tap to cast immediately, or hold to charge. While charging, Snowforged Blade stacks are consumed over time. Releasing triggers the attack. If none are consumed, the attack auto-casts after a delay. Also auto-casts when all stacks are consumed. Each Snowforged Blade increases damage. Consumes all Dedication and Frostheart and ends Foreclaimed Self.
Intro Skill – FrostedgeDeals Glacio DMG (counts as Resonance Liberation DMG) and applies 1 stack of Glacio Chafe. In Present Self, restores 200 Dedication and allows chaining into Stage 3. In Foreclaimed Self, allows chaining into Stage 2.
Inherent Skill – Fine SnowWhen teammates apply Glacio Chafe or Havoc Bane, Hiyuki gains Snow Rust (max 3 stacks, once per teammate). 1 stack: +30% Glacio Bite DMG and +40% Crit DMG. 2 stacks: applying Glacio Chafe also triggers an extra Glacio Bite hit (102%). 3 stacks: Glacio Bite DMG gains an additional +30%. Resets when team composition changes.
Inherent Skill – Ephemeral RealmAfter leaving combat or reviving, if Hiyuki remains out of combat for 4s and has no Snowforged Blade, she gains 1 stack.
Forte Circuit – Glacio BiteConverts Glacio Chafe applied by teammates into Glacio Bite. Each new stack triggers Glacio Bite DMG based on current stack limits. Can affect frozen targets. Counts as both Glacio Chafe and its damage type. If Inward Vision or Iai hits a target with ≥10 stacks, consumes 10 stacks to trigger Frostbind. Entering battle clears Chafe; leaving removes all Glacio Bite if no converter remains.
Iai StanceIf Frostheart ≥100, certain actions (dodging after attacks or holding skill after Frostblight) cause Hiyuki to reposition and enter Iai Stance (costs STA). Can reposition behind enemies. Works mid-air and resets aerial dodges. Ends when switching out.
Basic Attack – IaiWhile in Iai Stance, press Normal Attack to consume 100 Frostheart and deal Glacio DMG (Resonance Liberation DMG). Can chain if enough Frostheart remains. If hit during the attack, the damage is negated and Hiyuki gains full damage reduction and interruption immunity briefly.
