I still vividly remember the moment when Jinx unexpectedly launched an attack on the Council Chamber in Piltover. Jinx single-handedly ruined the efforts to preserve peace, leading to one of the best cliffhanger endings in an animated TV series. Arcane Season 2 kicked off right from the same moment and showcased the horrors of Jinx’s assault. Some council members fortunately survived the attack while some weren’t so lucky. Who Died During Jinx’s Attack on the Council?
Jinx used her rocket launcher to bombard the Council Chamber at the top of Piltover at the end of season 1. As a result, the aftermath of the decimating attack was showcased in the first moments of season 2’s first episode. Unfortunately, out of the seven councilors, three of the councilors who gathered for the meeting lost their lives; they are:
- Cassandra Kiramman (Caitlyn’s mother)
- Irius Bolbok
- Torman Hoskel
These councilors may have been imperfect at first, but in the end, they came together to vote for peace. However, that didn’t last long as Jinx’s rocket ruined it all. Caitlyn is now heading towards a tough path due to her mother’s loss. She formed the Strike Team with Vi to hunt Jinx. The other two councilors’ passing also caused problems with the management.
Who are the Survivors of Jinx’s Missile Attack?
While three councilors lost their lives, the other four, namely Mel Medardo, Jayce, Shoola, and Salo, survived the attack. However, only Mel and Jayce survived the attack without any major injuries. Half of Shoola’s face was injured and scarred, and Salo lost both his legs as he was trapped under rubble. The lives of the councilors were altered forever from that day.
Moreover, one more character was present during the meeting who wasn’t a councilor. It was none other than Jayce’s partner — Viktor. He was severely injured due to the blast and Jayce had to seek the assist from Hextech to keep his friend alive. Fortunately, Viktor survived in the end but evolved into a messiah figure in the story later on.
