Amara in Arcane and League of Legends
During the Progress Day event, Amara was introduced to us as a member of Piltover’s Merchant Guild. She was known to be a charitable woman as she generously donated to the academy. These actions earned her the gratitude of the councilors and she was able to trade across borders without any hassle.
Amara was depicted as a deceitful old woman who was seen scheming a grand plan initially. For example, Amara cunningly made a deal to invest in Hextech with Jayce when the latter started to give some trouble to her business. Well, Arcane season 2’s first act finally sheds light on Amara’s true role in the series.
Amara’s True Identity: The Assassin of Black Rose
Amara, who was missing in the initial episodes, finally appeared in the third episode of Season 2 Act 1 and surprised the fans with an unexpected twist. All this time, Amara was posing to be a Merchant Guild member, but she was the silent assassin from the Black Rose organization in reality. She finally revealed her true identity in the series when she met Ambessa in the final episode.
Amara had been part of Black Rose all along and tried to kill Ambessa to stop her from achieving her goals in Piltover. Even though she utilized the witchcraft powers of the Black Rose group, she was defeated and killed by Ambessa with her knife in the end.
At the cliff of her death, she remarked how her death means nothing possibly to indicate that their organization will hunt down Ambessa. Because the members of the Black Rose are said to possess bewitching transformation powers. Also, League of Legends players speculated Amara to be linked with Leblanc, an infamous member of the Black Rose.
