When Will Fortnite Downtime Begin for 40.10?
The downtime for Fortnite Update 40.10 will begin on April 1, 2026, at 4 AM ET. Like any other update, Fortnite servers will be down, and matchmaking will be disabled approximately 30 minutes before the official downtime begins. If you opened your Epic Games Launcher on PC, you would have noticed the text “Server Offline” under the Fortnite tile.

How Long is Fortnite Downtime Today?
The downtime today for the 40.10 update will last for around 3-4 hours while Fortnite servers remain offline. While mid-season patches only take 1-2 hours to implement, a full seasonal rollout like OG Season 8 might require a lot more maintenance on Epic Games’ end. The developers will update the OG mode map, loot pool, and the OG Pass. Epic will also add files related to the Endgame LTM and the Floor Is Lava LTM with this update.
