When is Black Cat Coming to Marvel Rivals?

Felicity Hardy, also known as Black Cat, is officially joining the Marvel Rivals roster. The character’s debut was confirmed in the Season 7 trailer, where she went toe-to-toe with White Fox over the Tablet of Life. Black Cat’s personality lies on the anti-hero side of things, yet she remains a fan-favorite. And if you’re eagerly waiting for her arrival, here’s when Black Cat is coming to Marvel Rivals.

Marvel Rivals Black Cat Release Date

Black Cat will join the Marvel Rivals roster in Season 7.5, which will be released on April 17 at 9 AM UTC. Her release date was confirmed in the Marvel Rivals Season 7 roadmap, so you won’t have to wait too long for her debut.

Closer to her release, NetEase will release a character trailer revealing Felicity’s kit and abilities. You can also expect to see pre-release streams from your favorite content creators that show off the character.

Marvel Rivals Black Cat Role and Gameplay Prediction

With White Fox being a Strategist, we can safely strike off healer as a potential role for Black Cat. In the comics, Felicity was known for her agility and cat-like reflexes. In fact, she was quite literally a cat burglar, so sharp movement is her strongest aspect. Given this, we expect Felicity to be a dive Duelist in Marvel Rivals.

The Season 7 trailer showcased some of the combat abilities, including claw strikes and a “bad luck” debuff, which tilts the odds in the thief’s favor. The enemy hit with the debuff could suffer from unfortunate misfires or could see their abilities fail for a brief period of time. To complement these traits, she’ll likely have a grappling hook that would allow her to flank enemies and zip away for a quick escape.

While we don’t imagine Black Cat as a pure DPS in Marvel Rivals, she’ll probably bring strategic utility to the table, comparable to Black Panther and Spider-Man.
