The new season, called “Showdown”, kicked off on March 19, 2026, at 7 AM ET. Servers were offline for almost 5 hours as players were eagerly anticipating hopping back into the game. Furthermore, the season brings a new Rivalry-themed gameplay where players are split into two teams: Team Foundation and Team Ice King.
The season’s lore is largely focused on the return of The Foundation and The Seven as they fight The Ice King and the Dark Voyager, as they exploit the Zero Shards that were found by the villains in Chapter 7 Season 1.
