In the third episode of Agatha All Along, after realizing that Teen is too innocent to understand Agatha’s true nature, Jen tries to warn him. She tells the boy that Agatha didn’t hesitate to sacrifice her own child to get hold of Darkhold. So, the wicked witch might do the same with him.

The coven, excluding Teen, drinks a glass of wine after entering the mansion. Agatha, at the same time, pretends to drink the poison and acts like she’s being affected in front of everyone. Regardless, just when everyone finishes drinking, a timer starts. The wine is poisoned, and before the timer stops, the witches must find an antidote. The effects of the poison start showing up. Every witch’s face starts swelling, but the swell doesn’t last for too long. Jen explains that the effects decreased quickly, which means the wine was poisoned with Alewife’s revenge. The poison starts with swelling, then it causes dizziness, hallucinations, and eventually death.

Agatha asks the Poison witch to make an antidote quickly. However, before she can begin, she starts hallucinating a man who calls her an inconvenient woman and tries to kill her. Lilia Calderu and Alice Wu-Gulliver also get their share of nightmares at the same time. Teen realizes that Agatha hasn’t drunk the poison, so he asks her not to cheat, or else they won’t be able to get out of this.

Agatha drank the wine after everyone else to get her traumatizing visions when the coven prepared an antidote. She hears a crying baby, and then she sees a cradle. When she goes closer with teary eyes and removes the sheet, all she can find is Darkhold in the cradle instead of a baby.

Apparently, the poison that everyone drank showed everyone their worst nightmares. For instance, Alice sees her dead mother in the vision, and Agatha sees a crying baby, which is also linked with her past. The baby she imagined crying reminded Agatha of her child. It is believed that she traded her child for the Darkhold, so the baby getting replaced by the demonic book mirrors the guilt that Agatha holds in her heart. However, it is yet to be seen if Agatha has actually traded her son for the Darkhold or if she has lost her beloved child because of the Darkhold mistakenly. Nevertheless, it was surely a painful memory for Agatha, and it was difficult for her to relive that in the third episode of Agatha All Along.
