Severance Season 2 Episode 3 End Credits Hint At a Major Change in Mark
When the end credits started rolling at the end of Season 2 Episode 3, you would have noticed that earlier, there used to be white text on a black background, but now it’s black text on a white background. It clearly states that things are about to change as Mark has undergone reintegration. His Outie will be able to enter Lumon Industries and vice versa.
Severance Season 2 Episode 3 featured a hell of a lot of things; characters were seen focusing on different things. While Cobel is trying to regain her position at Lumon Industries, and Irving has his own agenda, Mark tries harder to find where Ms. Casey (Gemma) is or what Lumon has done to her. At the end of the episode, Mark struggles to contact his Innie, and that’s when Dr. Asal Reghabi approaches him. After conversing for a bit, when Mark asks her if she knows anything about Gemma or if she’s alive, Reghabi says she was alive when she met her last time.
Reghabi then tells Mark that she is there to help him, and that’s only possible when the latter will allow her to start with the reintegration procedure. Getting convinced, Mark took her to the basement of his house, and Reghabi began to test the device. She attached some wires to Mark’s forehead, which caused his brain frequencies to appear on a monitor. Reghabi then explained that this way, the five brain frequencies of Mark’s Innie and Outie will be differentiated.
Reghabi asks him several questions until the procedure is concluded, and then Mark finds himself lying on the table. It’s the same table where every Severed’s journey starts. At the same time, we get to see several transitions, which at one moment shows Mark in a suit and the other moment he’s seen in his Outie outfit. Although it isn’t showcased in the episode, the end credits clearly imply that Mark has undergone a change and will now remember everything from Inside as well as outside of the office.
It’s quite evident that Mark wants to find his wife, and this change will certainly help him achieve his goal. Also, there are many mysteries around Lumon Industries, which are all tied to Mark’s memory. Not only will Mark learn the truth about his wife’s disappearance, but he will also uncover some terrifying truths about his mysterious workplace.
