The Forge Weapons and Armors Upgrade Guide

The Forge is an open-world RPG, and like any other, you can upgrade your weapons and armor in this game. Upgrading your equipment can significantly enhance your gameplay. However, these upgrades require a significant amount of resources, and farming them repeatedly can be a real pain. That’s why we’re here to help you out with The Forge weapon and armor upgrades and show you how you can maximize them.

What Are Weapon and Armor Upgrades in The Forge

Weapon and Armor upgrades are an in-game mechanic in The Forge. Upgrading lets you increase the base stats of a weapon and armor, like Damage, Attack Speed, Quality, and Attack Range. Upgrades can be done right after you have obtained them by forging. The stat improvement or deduction depends on the craft chance in the game.

How to Upgrade Weapons and Armors in The Forge

There are two different types of upgrades for weapons and armors in The Forge: Enhancing and Enchanting. Enhancing your weapons and armors increases their level, which further affects the stats. Enhancing, on the other hand, adds bonus passive traits by attaching a rune to your weapon and armor.

Enhance in The Forge

You can enhance a weapon or armor at the Enhancer’s place, available on all the islands. Talking to the NPC will open a menu, from which you can select the weapon and armor you want to enhance. To enhance, you need to have certain types of essence in The Forge.

As you can see in the above image that we have a Tin Uchigatana, which requires two Large, four Medium, and two Small essences. Similarly, you need to check the essences required for your weapon and farm them by killing enemies The Forge. Once you have them, return to the Enhancer’s place and enhance the equipment by spending money and essences.

Enhancing a weapon and armor till level 3 will unlock the option to enchant and attach runes to them in the rune slot. The Rune Slots option shows 2 rune slots after improvement, then you have a chance to get two slots on your weapons or armors.

However, enhancing is based on luck, and if it fails, your enhancement level will be dropped by one. Failing to enhance can also take back the rune slot of that particular level. That is why it is important to check the Craft Chance percentage. If it is medium or above, you will get a positive upgrade.

Enchant in The Forge

As mentioned previously, enhancing a weapon and armor till level 3 will unlock the option to enchant and attach runes to them. And when you want to move on from a particular weapon or armor, you can detach the rune, too.

You can add runes by visiting the Runemaker’s house and interacting with him. Runes are enemy drops, just like essence. However, they are very rare and hard to find as they are specific to certain enemies. If you have a rune, you can attach it to the Rune Slot of your equipment by interacting with the Runemaker and paying the required amount of money.

Should You Upgrade Weapons and Armors in The Forge?

Upgrading The Forge weapon or armor increases its base stats like damage, range, speed, and health, making it a lot better. Moreover, the runes give that extra boost you need to build your own style of weaponry. If you reroll race early and get a solid mining-focused class in The Forge, then you must focus on getting better upgrades right away. When out of spins, you can always use The Forge codes to get them.

While you can upgrade early game weapons and armors in The Forge, the mid and late game ones are better upgrades. That doesn’t mean you won’t upgrade your weapons and armor early on. We recommend forging a few of the good early items and then deciding on the best one you should upgrade, as it costs quite a number of resources and money.
