- Lingsha is an excellent healer with good offensive and support capabilities. She has multiple AoE heals, alongside Break Damage buffs and reactive heals.
- Lingsha also has AoE cleansing in her kit, but it is only triggered with her Fuyuan's turn.
- Lingsha is a good Sustain so she can work with most teams in the game. However, it is best to pair her with other Break Effect units.
Honkai Star Rail is currently in the first phase of version 2.5 with the second phase right around the corner. The 2nd phase of HSR version 2.5 will feature Lingsha and Topaz, which are going to be tough picks for many players. If you are unsure of whether to pull for Lingsha or not in HSR 2.5, here is a complete analysis of her pros and cons.
Honkai Star Rail Lingsha’s Kit
Lingsha is a very strong healer with good offensive and buffing abilities. She is a Break Sustain, and she scales on both Attack and Break Effect. Her Skill deals AoE damage to enemies while also healing all the allies based on her Attack. Her Skill also summons Fuyuan who takes action during its turn to deal AoE damage to enemies and also healing allies. Her Ultimate also deals AoE damage to enemies and heals all the allies, while also increasing the Break Damage taken by enemies.
Overall, Lingsha has a very strong healing kit, mixed with good damage and support kit. She is the perfect sustain for Break Effect DPS units like Firefly and Boothill. Additional, her kit also includes the best cleansing mechanic since Huohuo, removing 1 debuff from all allies when Fuyuan (her summon) takes action.
Lingsha vs Other Sustain Characters in Honkai Star Rail
Now that you understand her strengths and how to play her, let’s take a look at how Lingsha compares to other top Sustain Characters.
- Lingsha vs Luocha: Lingsha is a lot better than Luocha when it comes to healing allies. Her kit not only has a high number of AoE heals, but her Ascension 6 Trace Ability also gives her reactive heals like Luocha. Other than that, Lingsha has AoE cleanse in her kit, but it is restricted to the action of her summon whereas Luocha has single-target cleanse in his kit with his Skill and reactive heals.
- Lingsha vs Huohuo: Lingsha falls short of Huohuo when it comes to healing. Although she can do AoE heals, the frequency of heals from Huohuo is much more consistent. Both the characters have AoE cleanses in their kit, however Huohuo passive heals and cleanses at the start of each ally’s turn. Lingsha does have a higher damage output and is slightly better in Break Effect Focused teams, however, Huohuo’s ultimate is also pretty strong for most DPS units in the game.
- Lingsha vs Gallagher (E6): Lingsha is an upgrade to Gallagher in many aspects, however, at E6 Gallagher is still a very strong comparable sustain. Other than that, Lingsha has AoE cleanse while Gallagher only gets a cleanse with his E2. Lingsha is better in most aspects compared to E6 Gallagher.
Best Team Synergies for Lingsha
Lingsha is a strong healer so she works with almost all teams in Honkai Star Rail. Also, she is a very versatile unit with a mix of offense, healing, and buffs in her kit. She is particularly strong in Break Effect teams — like Firefly and Boothill teams. Other than that, she is also quite good for Feixiao teams as the attack from her summons is considered a Follow-up attack.
DPS units like Jingliu, Blade, Clara, or Yunli who either take a lot of damage or consume HP can also use Lingsha as her Trace ability allows her to react and heal allies who are below a certain HP threshold.
Does Lingsha Need Her Signature Light Cone?
No, not necessarily as Lingsha has a few really good 4-star Light Cone options. However, her Light Cone is extremely strong for her kit and is recommended over E1. Her Light Cone increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 60%, while also making enemies take increased damage when hit by the wearer’s Ultimate. Although this Light Cone is pretty useless with other Abundance units, it is perfect for Lingsha’s kit.
But you don’t have to force yourself to go for it as the 4-star Light Cone “What is Real?” is also a good Light Cone alternative for Lingsha, increasing her Break Effect by 48% at S5.
Should You Pull for Lingsha?
Now that you have taken a look at everything Lingsha provides, let’s boil everything down to her strengths and weaknesses.
Lingsha’s Strength:
- Multiple AoE heals while she attacks.
- Reactive heals unlocked with her traces.
- Increases the Break Damage of the team.
- AoE Cleanse with her summon
Lingsha’s Weaknesses:
- Has high Skill Point usage.
- Cleanse is tied to the turn of her summon.
Overall, I think Lingsha is a great option to bolster your Honkai Star Rail team. If you don’t have a strong healer in your team, then you should pull Lingsha as she is a really strong healer against most of the game’s challenges. Other than that, if you have Boothill, Firefly, or any other Break Effect DPS units, then Lingsha is a great choice for their sustain. But, if you have Huohuo, then it would be unnecessary to pull for Lingsha as she provides a lot of the same value.
