However, things are getting a bit darker with the introduction of a brand new night time event called the Blood Moon event. Once this event occurs, the complete theme of the game changes to blood red, and a mysterious new Owl shop makes its appearance. What is the Blood Moon Event in Grow a Garden
Considering all the community feedback, the developers of Grow a Garden decided to expand the nighttime event and make it possible for players to earn Night Seed packs and Night Eggs outside the Lunar Moon reward track. Hence, now we can experience a brand new timed event, called the Blood Moon event.
Unlike the regular nighttime event in the game, when the regular moon rises every hour, the Blood Moon has a 33% chance to spawn instead of a normal night. This means it occurs every 3 hours on average; I’ve experienced around three Blood Moon events so far in the game.
Moreover, unlike the normal night that lasts for 10 minutes, the Blood Moon event lasts for 15 minutes, painting the sky a deep crimson hue.
What Mutation Do You Get During the Blood Moon Event
During a Blood Moon Event, you will have a boosted chance of getting the Bloodlit mutation on your plants, thereby increasing their sale value by 4 times. If you want to get this mutation on the maximum number of plants in your garden, you can go through our linked guide.
Try planting multi-harvest crops and collecting most of your harvest before the event for better results. Although the visuals are appealing and you get a huge boost in crop sale value, there’s one more thing that you can look forward to once the event starts.
Exclusive Shops Accessible During Blood Moon Event
Finally, once the event starts, an exclusive shop rises from the ground at the center of the play area, to the right of the Wise Owl NPC. Known as the Blood Moon Shop in Grow a Garden, here you will get some rare and unique items as follows:

- Night Egg
- Night Seed Pack
- Blood Banana Seed
- Moon Melon Seed
- Star Caller
- Blood Kiwi
- Blood Hedgehog
- Blood Owl
Most of these items can’t be obtained otherwise, so make sure you can grab them all till they last in the game.
Furthermore, here you are getting the chance to grab on to some Night Eggs and Night Seed Packs in Grow a Garden by spending in-game money or Sheckles. Previously, you were either required to complete the quest or get those items by spending a significant amount of Robux.
